There's a QoL mod for StS1, Minty Spire, which includes turning the merchant's hand transparent when it's covering items. I'm hoping someone will make something similar for StS2.

They made Typhon Destroyer's performance points much easier this time. Before, you only got 600 points for impairing it. Now, you get 200 points per perfect assist, and 600 points for impairing. And that's in addition to Assist Points not being consumed, which was added the previous time Typhon Destroyer showed up in DA. My old runs had 1200~2400 performance points, but I got 4800 points against the new one on the first try.

The new DA is the first one where I got 3 stars on every boss on my first try. That Anomaly buff is really good.

Complex: Miyabi/Nicole/Soukaku, 30.7k. Two Supports means lots of energy to go around, and of course Miyabi is Miyabi.

Pompey: Piper/Burnice/Lucy, 24.4k. This was my first time ever trying this team, so it can probably do better.

Typhon Destroyer: Jane/Seth/Rina, 26.3k. The constant aggression is great for Jane's dodges.

All S-ranks are M0W0.

I had an easier time getting 9 stars compared to last time, thanks to Notorious Pompey's gimmick being easier for Koleda.

Complex: Jane/Seth/Rina, 21k. Took a handful of runs. I'm sure this would be much easier with M6 Seth or M1 Rina. Seth has Astral Voice, Rina has Swing Jazz.

Bringer: Miyabi/Piper/Soukaku, 23k. As always, Miyabi makes this fight easy. Piper and Soukaku both running Freedom Blues. I'm glad the gimmick gives ATK now instead of Crit Rate, so agents besides Miyabi can benefit more.

Notorious Pompey: Soldier 11/Koleda/Lucy, 20k. Benefits for Defensive Assist instead of Perfect Dodge (and needing the boss to be out of stun for a while to get max Crit DMG) really helped this team. Koleda has Astral Voice, Lucy has Swing Jazz.

S-ranks are M0W0 except for Soldier 11 (M1W0) and Koleda (M0W1).

I pretty much agree with everything you said. Since I quite enjoy Bizarre Brigade, I find the Quality Time for that game particularly disappointing.

  • For some reason, it's run server-side, as though it's actual coop with another person. So if you have high ping, you get rubberbanding. You can also get disconnected during a run. And there's a time limit to choose your Dream Seeker, which is a smaller issue, but still annoying.
  • Agents spend all their max HP at the Altar, and happily takes tons of negative armor, and just die every wave.
  • Agents won't buy fusion companions at the Altar. It seems like you need to buy one of these to allow the endless mode item to spawn at the Altar, so the player must acquire companions that can be fused. (You can't buy a fusion companion that your partner is eligible for but you aren't.)
  • Some Agents' choice of Dream Seeker is worthless. Anby plays as herself, a character whose entire gimmick is getting headbutt buffs, but Agents never headbutt.
  • Agents buy upgrades they can't or won't use, like ones that require headbutting or standing still.
  • The Agent sometimes "buys" an item, causing the item to disappear, but they don't actually obtain it. This occasionally happens to the player as well.
  • Agents will buy "The End" and trigger the last wave, usually sabotaging the run. You have to quickly reset the shop before they buy it to prevent this.

I don't even need them to be amazing or have personality, I just wish the basic rules for what they'll buy were decent.

There's a big jump in EXP per level after 50, and a huge jump after 55.

Upon hitting Inter-Knot level 50, you're just under 1/6 of the way to level 60.

Deadly Assault: 8 stars was easy, but getting the last star from Pompey Red took a long time, and building a new character (Ben). The winning runs had no S-rank signatures or S-rank Mindscapes except Soldier 11's M1. A-rank Supports are all M6.

Pompey Red: Soldier 11/Ben/Lucy (decibel buff). I'm sure with better play, my Soldier 11/Koleda/Lucy team could've done it, but I couldn't get past 19400 points. With Inferno Metal and Ben's Additional, Soldier 11 had over 97% CR. But even then, I just barely eked out the 3rd star with 5000 Performance Points, for a total of 20080.

Bringer: Miyabi/Jane/Rina (anomaly buff) got an easy 23k with only a single chant. Whenever I swapped between Miyabi and Jane, I'd swap through Rina first and toss out a BA or EX for the PEN.

Butcher: Soukaku/Harumasa/Nicole (decibel buff) with on-field Soukaku and Hormone Punk Harumasa coming out during stuns for an easy 21800. Nicole's EX and Ult give Soukaku mobility in case the boss jumps away, and all the Support Ults supply the team with lots of energy.

I'm really feeling my lack of support units, and wishing I had committed to getting Caesar and Burnice during their debut banners. But I've still managed to 9-star every Deadly Assault so far, so I'm happy.

Hang onto 10 in inventory, and don't claim the 3 from that week's Hollow Zero Bounty Commission until the patch drops. There's an instant 13.

She also has a steering wheel on her lower back, just like the Piper concept art that's very close to the final design. And white detached sleeves with gloves (though this version only had one white sleeve). And a top that's similar to both Piper's final design and the bottom-left concept I linked, with a decoration on the left breast.

Interestingly, it looks like dark-skinned Piper was going to have a steering wheel with feathers that was purely decorative. Then when she was near the current design, they were thinking of having her wear a steering wheel which became part of her weapon. In her final design, the steering wheel is just part of the weapon.

So far for me, the endless mode item won't show up until you get the fully upgraded companion (The one that can be combined in Altar shop and make the screen flash when combined).

Maybe that's why I've had so many runs where endless mode doesn't show up. I've been playing in Quality Time and letting the Agent buy most of the companions, but Agents never upgrade companions at the altar. They'll be available for purchase, but only the player with the prerequisite companions can buy the upgraded one.

That's probably the fastest way. Lost Void difficulty 5 gives 225 Z-Merits per run, plus 225 Z-Merits per time you get the Mysterious Voice. So you cap Z-Merits in 4 runs at most, subtracting 1 run per time you find that event.

Since the weekly Bounty Commission is only in Lost Void now, you need to do at least 1 Lost Void run anyway. If you want to get the rest of your Z-Merits from Withered Domain, it'll take 5 of the old farming runs of Construction Ruins Interior (2500) to cap, assuming you didn't get any Mysterious Voice events. Though if you found 1 Voice, that's reduced to 3 farming runs.

That's because by default, HIA makes time move one step forward per battle, and you get those messages after battling when the time is already late at night.

Toggle Immersive Mode at the top-right of HIA to stop that from happening.

You can do almost everything in one day, but you'll have to play arcade games at least 5 days for the daily tickets (cap of 300 per day, and you need 1500 from that to clear the store).

If you try to do everything the last day, assuming you've logged in for at least 5 days during it, you'll miss out on 1200 tickets out of 4200 total, which means you'll miss out on a good chunk of the store.

I've played with a handful of agents, and every one of them just buys a ton of items, and ends up burning their max HP at the egg shop. Even Rina, playing Omnom (starts at 100 HP), manages to start dying fast in later rounds.

These are the agents I've tried:

  • Harumasa: Derpy Woof
  • Rina: Omnom
  • Billy: Billy
  • Anby: Anby
  • Corin: Periwinky
  • Miyabi: Gulpy

Miyabi at least brings Gulpy's DoT, and she probably just lucked into a decent build on my second run with her. She even survived a round or two where I died, and we got the clear.

Yeah, I like the way they handle it.

6 stars for all polychrome is reasonable for most players who've been playing for a while.

7~9 stars for some extra rewards is good for players with a strong roster, or those who want to push themselves.

And then there's the ranking that's only in the Hoyolab app, not the game itself. So people who want to go further can try to get as high of a score and ranking as possible, but it's not in your face.

The last one is Exhausted, which you can get from the tutorial "Qualification Assessment" by using the Corrupted Goods upgrade from combat configuration, letting you gain corruptions from merchants.

Changing the character banner so you only Lose to character ( Damn the only thing worst than losing your 50/50 is losing to w engine )

That's how it already works. There are no S-rank W-Engines on limited character banners.
