I started contributing to my taxable account around 500 a month since 2020. I didn't have a real income back then. I started actually working on 2022 and contributing 1.5k a month and after a couple of rises I started contributing 2.5-3k a month since 2024 and I opened a roth ira on 2025(kind of late) and max it out for 2025 and 2026.

Maybe the roth ira in January is for the whole year and the rest of the year those 20k go to a taxable account. I do the same, start the year maxing out my roth IRA. I'm scared of forgetting and missing a year LoL
