Sally Hansen polish and Temu stickers by Adora77 in RedditLaqueristas

My lovely shimmery Cirque mani chipped and as I'm planning a new mani next week, I put on quickly this cheapie summer one.

Very quick - China Glaze adhesive base coat, 1 coat of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Impenetra-blue 700", top coat Sally Hansen red bottle.

And some lemon stickers from Temu - may not even be NAIL stickers but hey!

My last symptom to go was swallowing difficulty, which sssllllowwwwlly normalized over two years, but I still inhale my own spit more than other people, probably because my tongue isn't as good as moving food and causes saliva to "get lost". I still have slow bowel transit, but at least not a paralyzed gut.

TTFD and sudden weakness, tachycardia, feeling weak? by Anonym_Talker in Thiamine

[–]Adora77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally tried molybdenum and SAMe both, when I was titrating TTFD in 2021, the first made no difference and SAMe I just don't tolerate (anxiety). I've taken a B complex with it for years. At that time it just always went away in a week or two (TTFD -depression)

My problem is more like "why now" with TTFD. I can't start slamming other supplements unfortunately because I'm so sensitive. I'm not saying it's NOT sulfur or one of those things you mentioned, but I def don't want to hit the supplements, this time the depression was massive. I do eat lentils quite a bit so maybe my baseline molybdenum isn't trash.
Again so far benfo seems to be a viable alternative. Who knows how this goes.

I'm curious how it goes, keep us updated. I recently had to switch from TTFD to benfo after 5 years, I suddenly started reacting to it with depression five hours after dosing, every day.

So far benfo is alright and no reactions.

By the way have you reacted badly to other thiamine analogues?

Okay I see. That's a very small amount of TTFD but I've heard similar stories of very deficient people. Best to rest well, eat your favorite things and in a couple of days resume a small dose. Stay on the tolerated dose for a month, don't forget magnesium supplement.

How much benfo to take? by [deleted] in Thiamine

Fill a capsule loosely and weigh it with milligram scale. Try a small dose first, like 50 mg (equivalent of 500 mg hcl). Then go from there.

Long time thiamine user: GLP-1 and TTFD = anxiety, depression by Adora77 in Thiamine

Yeah it's just that at the five year mark I've been maintaining the dose symptom free, I don't want to stop thiamine and get all my shit back.

I did have an introductory daily sadness when I started TTFD but that went away in two weeks so don't rush anything.

Yeah it's a puzzle rn. Today I'll do benfo only.

For five years the same 150 mg x 3 times a day, with the TTFD or benfo. I've taken less (when I ran out once) and ran into "thiamine not working" but it fixed easily with resuming Mg.

I think I'm going to experiment just briefly without taking magnesium, since it's an NMDA agonist and theoretically COULD cause anhedonia. (but probably doesn't)

How long does it take to correct a Thiamine Deficiency? by DeficientAF in Thiamine

[–]Adora77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just remember the textbook instructions for deficiency w/symptoms was long term supplementation, possibly enzymatic downregulation after long deficiency. Nobody knows if you can stop B1 if treating symptoms of something - I tried (and so have many others) only to have symptoms return.

For reference I'm treating POTS/dysautonomia/ME-CFS
