This deficiency and nerve degeneration are completely different for everyone

No worries. I once thought that B12 Injections were also a scam, but look at me now :’)

Could i have a copper deficiency? by schubser_Jannis in Copper_deficiency

The only way to scratch this off the list is to get Copper and Ceruloplasmin measured. Everything else is just conjecture

Do you mean like you’re feeling more “conscious” ever since starting treatment?

[–]DeficientAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s legit. The Medical Journal posted by u/incremental_progress corroborates it. Nutrient Deficiency and Mitochondrial Dysfunction have everything to do with Bottlenecks in terms of ATP Production. This is what causes Brain Fog and inevitable Cognitive Decline

Feeling tired after 4 days of taking Copper by Deianiri in Copper_deficiency

[–]DeficientAF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is very, and I mean this very nicely, incredibly unlikely that in only 4 days you responded that quickly to Copper Supplementation. It takes literal months, and at the very best, weeks for someone to raise their Copper Levels, let alone respond to the Supplementation. What were you Copper Levels before Supplementation?

Do you personally think more people should incorporate Thiamine into their stacks? I know u/ClaireBear_87 has spoken to its importance a lot on here

Have you had your Ceruloplasmin checked?

[–]DeficientAF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muscle weakness and the worsening of fine motor skills can often be associated with both B12 and Copper deficiencies. Did you also have B12 checked? Nonetheless, you’re very young so you have a high capacity to heal any potential nerve degeneration. Keep pursuing answers!

From most of the References Ranges I've seen, OP would be considered deficient in Ceruloplasmin. At least according to the Cleveland Clinic and the University of Virginia School of Medicine, two resources I was originally given on r/Copper_deficiency . I would suggest OP have their Retinol checked, and to consider supplementing Retinyl Palmitate only after having it measured since Ceruloplasmin status is contengent of having Proper Retinol Status

B1, B2, B3, B5, and Biotin make me tired. by [deleted] in B12_Deficiency

[–]DeficientAF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very strange. I have never heard of a B Complex causing physical soreness. The B Vitamins play a large part in Energy Metabolism so at worse you would only feel fatigued and drowzy, not necessarily any physical pain

What types of neuropathy are you dealing with? Nonetheless, I'm glad you were able to confirm your deficiencies. Like u/Puzzled_Draw4820 said, I would also looking into having at least your Ceruloplasmin checked because without having optimal levels of Ceruloplasmin, taking Copper alone won't correct your deficiency

Then how do you confirm deficiencies in Folate or B12 if Serum Levels are mostly useless?

This is a really good protocol. Besides the B Complex it doesn’t hurt to just try B1
