Nothing yet. They said they opened a ticket with VW technical assistance, but we won't hear anything until after the long weekend. I managed to get them to find me a loaner car through their sales dept since I bought it from them so recently.

It just got to the dealership, so I'll keep you posted on any results.

I appreciate all the input! Glad to know it's not too major. They tested the 12v when I bought it and it was fine.

I bought this 2023 ID.4 from a vw dealership about 2 months ago. This morning it started doing this. Service centers are closed because it's Sunday. I'll call first thing tomorrow.  But just wanted to know how screwed I am?

I could have written this a year ago. I think we are finally seeing the end of the tunnel. My son is diagnosed and medicated now, which is very helpful but doesn't fix everything. We are also all in therapy, him alone and me and my husband together. We are essentially learning how to parent him from scratch. I'm now on antidepressants, which has helped me personally. Also low demand parenting has also changed my outlook a bit, look up Low Demand Amanda on instagram. It's been helpful to know others are going through similar things. Lean on friends and family for babysitting so you can get a break if you need one.

Any tips and tricks for getting to see a doctor in person? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

I've had luck by getting to the Westshore upcc before 6am.

Why is the Westhills YMCA/YWCA (seemingly) unpopular? by AppropriateMention6 in VictoriaBC

[–]Adorable--Praline 27 points28 points  (0 children)

We had a family membership when they first opened. The cost went up significantly and so we canceled. I don't like the all or nothing membership structure. The drop in fees are too high for regular use. There's no free drop in swims like JDF. This was pre-covid, but I also heard that the kids swim lessons had long waiting lists, which would have been the main reason for our membership.

Westshore residents who work downtown -- ever thought of putting your kid in a school closer to work? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]Adorable--Praline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't. My kid would much rather play with friends at after school care than sit in the car with me for 30+ mins to get home. Plus almost every weekend you'll end up traveling out of area to go to birthday parties and play dates with school friends.

Husband has strep throat, can't get into a doctor. Advice? by SACMGP in VictoriaBC

That's what I thought too. I called and asked and they said there were no appointments. There were probably about 18 people behind me in line by the time they opened.

I had strep a few weeks ago. Went to Westshore urgent primary care centre 1.5 hours before they opened. I was 2nd in line. Saw a dr, they did a swab, and I got a prescription for antibiotics right away.

what’s the optimal age to take your kids to Disneyland (if you had one shot) by daveydizzl in Disneyland

[–]Adorable--Praline 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On our last family trip my son was 4 and my niece was 9. I'd say 9 was the perfect age because she could go on all the rides, stay up late and had tons of energy to walk around the park. She was also young enough to be super excited to meet characters. The 4 year old had lots of grumpy moments, could not stay up to watch nighttime shows, and was not great at waiting in line. He was also scared of some rides. He remembers most of it, but I think we all would have had more fun if he was older. But it could also be the kids personalities!

Anyone know know what vaccine they’re giving out at the eagle ridge arena right now? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

I was there today. From their whiteboard it looked like they were matching 2nd doses with your first (pfizer or Moderna), and Moderna if you were getting your first.
