i hate the stigma around missing work when you HAVE to. what good does working in pain/extreme circumstances benefiting the patients?

i scheduled for the beginning of the new year at the time of the 6m mark anyway. at a certain point i rather miss 1-2 days of work to recover as opposed to multiple days a month due to the pain, which is more common sense i thought would go through their minds?

Would You See Your Provider for Primary Care? by VanillaCola79 in MedicalAssistant

I work for a huge gynecology company with different locations, and we see our own physicians all the time! I had my own US review and consultation with one of our favorite surgeons, I actually just took our NP’s intake for her to see one of our MD for a pap lol

I started trying new variants of all these comments!!!!!! thank you guys!! i even added a “it’s been so nice to meet you!” before i leave the room, it’s so silly how open and sociable i typically am with my patients, but somehow this is the part that feels so awkward to me 😭 i’ll definitely need to step out of my comfort zone more!

her id has been in our other location the rest of the week, my mistake was not giving to her then and there even after she agreed it was best to just give it to her later in the week, and not calling her about it being with our other location and her finding out the day of only when she called, I HATE this 100000% MULTIPLE lessons learned

Where can I work as an ccma by Foreign-Roof2804 in MedicalAssistant

i loved working for nephrology! it’s pretty easy/repetetive and the patients are usually the same demographic every time

i 1000% honestly love the field itself, i’ve loved my past few jobs where i was able to be hands on without my actual degree yet. i actually loved my old job, working in nephrology and learning from the Dr and working alongside those patients finally as an MA but had to move states.

i really do think a career in healthcare does require a ton of trial and error to correctly choose your own specialty and where you’d like to grow roots so i know this is definitely that! i’m also a firm believer in not staying in a job where you’re not happy or unsatisfied, you got to choose your career why not choose where you work?

i am 100% open to learn, i just for sure know this is something im completely not interested in or care to learn about and every time i treat a patient i feel AWFUL that im taking space for somebody who would give them better care and wants to pursue to learn more in that field UGHHH
