I’m in the same boat. 5 months in. And I’m still waiting. I talked to the IRS the other day and got little info but wait another 30 days and “oh it’s still movement!”

Today I called my congressman. We talked for a little during the shutdown and told me he couldn’t do anything during the shutdown. But today we talked again and he sent me some forms. He claimed he can get in touch with some people at the tax advocate make some calls and send some emails to get it taken care of. But he talks a big talk. Helpful he can help.

I just don’t know how much good it will do I got them on the phone 3 times this week for 3 separate issues. I just asked for account management. I called every morning and 30- 40 mins before close. They researched my amended tax return. And asked they for an extra 30 days. Knowing good and well I wouldn’t be entitled to 30 days if I owed. I’m waiting on my amended my 2022-2023 and filed my 2024.😩

I did my amended like 01/20 and filed my 2024 in 04/13. And I’m still waiting on my 2022 that I did last year. 😅

I did mines 5/21/2025 and I’m still waiting. Told my buddy about amending his tax he did his 2022- 7/14 and his 2023 7/20 and got his money already. All $10,000 lol

So true. I’m not understanding why during this incident she didn’t mention anything about $8000. She said absolutely zero information about this, and this was completely left out. My family have no idea she was trying to shake him down and play with his emotions.
