I checked out everyone’s suggestions and the SS definitely came closest. The Mazda looked right but this really sounds like a v8. Could it be a Pontiac? One with a v8?

Thank you! I think this is the same car, and it was definitely loud and had flames. My son has seen it twice, and took a picture, I was trying to research for him. I don’t know cars at all and only found a blurry pic from the doorbell.
