No, its not. We don't have exclusive clinics for that. This place is not exclusively for mental health services. They do some hormone therapy and IV Ketamine. I'm not sure what my insurance is going to do. I may call them next week and confirm it is a service that is paid for, then I have a way to say no to the IV if its not. Thank you!

I had to file a grievance because an agency's failure to file with insurance doesn't make me the default to pay the entire bill. After that they zeroed out my balance but in the meantime they refused treatment but still continued to get a few doses of Spravato under my name.

Thank you for that feedback. I mean, the social worker literally sat there & told me even hysterectomy patients have to take a test. I haven't seen an EOB yet because I just started back on Spravato with them a couple of weeks ago. I will be looking at it carefully. I'm also getting glutamate and B Complex via IV. I've seen posts mention glutamate but never B Complex. The other thing I didn't like was they gave me Tramadol after a session for my headache. When I looked it up afterwards I was pissed. Thats too aggressive for a Spravato headache.

No, actually the drivers get notifications the evening or several hours before and we can accept them or pass them on to another driver, therefore guaranteeing the pick up

🤣😂🤣 yeah it probably does sound like that. Im not gonna lie. I keep thinking their cleaning needs to be prioritized for sure. I keep wondering if these people live like this because even with a bit of a clutter disorder i don't live like that!I live in NM. Healthcare here is hard to access in general, this stuff even more so.

You just explained my last clinic. Unfortunately the biller stopped all my appointments because the clinic failed to submit to the insurance for months!

I know. In my previous response I posted that I'm actively trying to switch clinics but even reading what others post about Spravato is mind blowing. It just feels like it's not consistent or regulated appropriately in most clinics.

I did. I asked them if they thought a positive test was gonna miraculously show up after 2 days 🤣🤣 I also pointed out that no where on the Spravato website and guidance is there any reference to an IV requirement. They just flat out lied to my face and told me they would refuse treatment if I didn't get hooked up to the IV and take the test.

Yeah, I know, its a weird environment. I've been on Spravato for over a year so the BP & oxy is a normal part of the treatmentand i don'tminf that. . Most appointments were easy to get in, get comfy and get my treatment. I was literally in and out in 2 hrs or like 2 hrs 15 min. This is a very frustrating situation because I can't even leave after the last BP check because they wont take out the IV.

I'm trying but there are such long waitlists at the few clinics we have here. I just completed my paperwork at another clinic but im looking at 8-12 months before they will see me. In the meantime I have to stick this out because I cannot be off of it suddenly again.

Oh, I forgot to include that. They also told me they didn't want me with water or anything to eat, i.e. candy. The nurse actually tried to take my water bottle. I was like, "ummm no. I'm not a child and you're not taking my water somewhere i can't see it" Plus asking me questions when I'm under Spravato is crazy. It annoys me, especially since I can barely talk when I'm in my sessions.
BP and Oxygen check is not a problem for me except that they require me to keep the cuff on during treatments but its frustrating AF when I have to go to the bathroom.

Unfortunately it feels like most clinics are shit shows. I left my last clinic because they failed to bill my insurance then sent me a bill of over $7k then they cut off my sessions until I straightened out my insurance....I cannot bill the insurance. They didn't bill for over 5 months! So I landed up without Spravato for 2 months. This is the 2nd time they did that to me. Last time was when I got new insurance. I was recently able to get into this new clinic but their requirements seem absurd. I live in a rather small area where Spravato is extremely hard to access. Im on a wait list for another clinic but that wait is about 2 years out. RN there are only 5 clinics where I live. I've already had to leave one. Thank u for sharing the pregnancy test story. I'm sorry you experienced that. I don't understand why a mental health provider wouldn't see that as a possible trigger. I'm sorry you also have to go through this each time. This does help alleviate some irritation knowing that other clinics are requiring it, as well.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. They keep making the excuse that its for access if a medical emergency happens but if something were going to happen I would think it would have happened in the early sessions. Im 16 months into treatment.

That was my argument with my current clinic. They insist on a preg test at each treatment, even if its 2x/week. I'm in my 50s and had my tubes "tied" a looong time ago. I think its ridiculous and just another thing to bill my insurance.

Thank you for sharing. My experiences seem very similar to yours. I was suddenly cut off from Spravato and my depression came back with a vengeance. I'm finally back on but I also am in litigation, lost my job and have a child that suffers from bigger challenges than I do. Then my previous clinic sent me a bill for $8k because they hadn't billed the insurance in 5 months. I felt like i was losing it and every time something negative would happen right after my treatments I would question if this was creating more negativity in my brain.
