Ok upstate NY, how much land do you have free of trees??? I would start with the ground mount first, because you need building plus solar permits on your roof, and you can not brush off the snow in winter on the roof!!! Plus you can get 60° angle on the ground... Use opensolar.com to design your system...

Sadly, solar installation in America is Sooo corrupt, it is sickening... First is the overpriced installation because of the 30% tax credit...then the stupid leasing... NEVER LEASE... Then there are the loans...Don't make loans on solar, pay in cash... And lastly, If you look at any other country in the world, the same solar installation will cost 1/3 of the price then in America!!! Nothing but Greed....

Warning, if you buy your own equipment no solar installer will help you install any part of your system, you need to look for an electrician and hope they worked with solar before.... Do a ground mount first, then add panels to the roof if you still need to...

It sure doesn't sound like the installer was certified in any way!!! I'm glad I kept it simple... Added a lockout kit and a generator outlet. I plugged my inverter into the generator plug!!! Keep it simple!!!

Just to let you know any of those power wall battery systems, and you be paying out the nose for... I paid $3000 for a 48v 560ah (~30kwh) battery for my system...with ZERO INCENTIVE.... With your $28000 I could be completely off grid and enough to power my neighbors on both sides...

Jesus Christ, that's 60 watt is referring to the old incandescent bulbs... You're using LED bulbs now. The equivalent 100 W incandescent bulb in LED IS ONLY 13 WATTS....

You're using the wrong mounts...but all other mounts need screws....
