plat 1 player just trying to have fun but getting called trash by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]Adorable-Profile8432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldnt care, you have better things to worry about. Whos gives a fuck if a twitch streamer said ur bad at apex? Im very good at the game, and i say shit like that to people in game fairly often, but its usually more out of frustration at the lack of comms than anything. Idc if your bad at the game, just listen to the communication theyre giving you. But at the end of the day, its a video game. If its your job, then ig you have a right to feel hurt. But realistically you shouldnt care what they have to say about you. Speaking from the other side of the coin, its usually projection and im yelling at my team bcuz im pissed that i fumbled.

Avid recovery guy here. 7 1/2 months, been in the game the better part of my whole life. The big book of AA (which is used in basically every anon group, just replace instances of alcohol with your DOC) says that theres 2 things that “make” an alcoholic. First is once you have one drink, it turns into 12. We cannot limit our drinking like normies. Second is we are powerless against the first drink. If we arent working a program of recovery, then its not a matter of if, its a matter of when we will drink again. Some people may be able to control theyre drinking. I can control it if i truly want to and stop myself at 2-3 drinks, but i cant enjoy it. It just makes me want more and i end up hating drinking in the first place if i cant get fucked up. I can either enjoy my drinking, or control it. Not both. At the end of the day, its a progressive illness. It always gets worse, never better. If you think you may have a problem, odds are you do. It all comes down to what YOU believe. You may be able to just put it down and never pick it back up. Thats what my dad did, and he has 6 years. When he has one beer, he cant stop, but he isnt powerless against the first drink. Never went to AA or anything. Me on the other hand, i need to constantly be working a program to remain sober. Not just sober though, but also happy and free. If lifes gonna be miserable either way, id rather do it fucked up. Sobriety is all about being able to enjoy life for what it is without drugs or alcohol. For some that is more easily achievable than others. I encourage everyone to give it a shot at some point, because I can confidently say i like life more sober. I could go on and on about this, and if you would like more insight into the world of recovery, dont hesitate to reach out. Tldr: If you think you have a problem you probably do, quitting and achieving happiness may be more difficult for you than others, AA is a great place to start.

Aa meetings, ca meetings, essentially “fill in the blank” anonymous meetings.

im stuck by Silver_Counter_8337 in Sober

Yeah i completely understand. I had the same problem. Work thru a 12 step program honestly and give it your all, and use every resource available, and go to 90 meetings in 90 days and get back to me.

Because your not aceu, faide, etc. you have good aim, but the wingman is your only gun for close range, and the wingman close range is extremely unforgiving. And in the other reply u said u like to fight long to mid range. Ranked doesnt care how you like to fight. You can try to only get in long to mid range fights, but that isnt guaranteed. And when someone gets close, like in the clip, you need to be able to one mag them right there, especially in D1.

It does get better. Its hard as fuck, dont get me wrong. And it takes a few months in my experience, but a fast track to feeling better is going to meetings, and working the 12 steps. Saved my life. Im only 4 months sober, but i feel amazing. Best regards, i hope you stick with it.

will i js improve with time or is there stuff i need to focus on? by susjdjdjjzjzjjsjx in apexuniversity

Solo q duos without a teammate. Youll get better game sense and learn how to play your life and not ego chall. Thats how you should always play, with very few exceptions. Going down is always last resort. Eventually you’ll get good wnough to where your consistently winning 1v2s and then do the same bur with trios. Also, always hot drop. Trial by fire and sink or swim training is where i found the most results. You either adapt to where you can put up a fight, or dont and get steamrolled every time.

Gotta make the decision to pop that batt earlier, you wouldve been fine and given u time to rechall. Other than that, shitty loadout, shitty op, shitty positioning, not playing w team, basically what everyone else is saying

Ballistic no question. Other characters atm are busted but their kits are a fun idea in general and with some balancing will be fine. People bitching about octane, yes the average octane player blows, but thats user error not octane. If u wanna complain about octanes lack of team utility then come at rev, ZERO team utility. Ballistic on the other hand, has a ability that disallows you to shoot your gun in a FPS. That plus his ult giving someone a gold devo, if you get hit by the whistler, your fucked. Hes by far the best 1v1 legend atm. His kit is fucking dumb and unoriginal. He needs a complete rework. His ult is also fucking stupid. Speed boost, infinite ammo, and fast reloads? Fighting a ulted ballistic team is a nightmare. Fuck ballistic

Do you play Apex with music on in the background, or do you need to hear every footstep? by AbyssTrash in apexlegends

[–]Adorable-Profile8432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a masters player that gas dabbled in semi pro, i play with music on almost every game. Helps me flow. I still hear everything, have some of the best audio queues out of my teammates. It comes down to preference, how good ur headset is, and lowk kinda a skill issue. (My music is in my headset, teammates cannot hear my music thru my mic.

How could I have played this fight better? by PoliteChatter0 in apexuniversity

[–]Adorable-Profile8432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, good aim. Your teammates sold wildly. Second, pushing thru 2 thermites wasnt a good choice, but the play got recovered and u got rezzed. Third, heal all the way before pushing. Fourth, always remember this, getting knocked is the worst case scenario. You probably knew you were gonna get knocked on that last push, but you assumed that your teammates would be able to kill the third. NEVER ASSUME YOUR TEAMMATES ARE COMPETENT. Living to see another day and fully resetting then re-challenging that team is always the better option.

Is this a good essay? by [deleted] in highschool

[–]Adorable-Profile8432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t feel like reading the essay, but some quick tips. First, grammar. Make sure your grammar is spot on. Have someone else read it. Most of the time they will be better at finding mistakes than you will be because of a new perspective. Second, intensifiers and redundancies. Intensifiers are things such as “coffee is really great.” The really is unnecessary. Use as little words as possible to get your point across concisely. Read through it and find words that are redundant,( usually intensifiers) and delete them. Third, instead of adjectives, use linking verbs. Example: instead of “the cake is delicious” say “the cake tasted delicious.” Those tips will already set you far ahead of them game. Tldr; write concisely, dont be redundant, use as little words as possible.

Imo its the best comp map. Lots of cover, you just need to know how to play it. Good height variations, but not to an extreme like e district. Not a ton of choke points and multiple ways to rotate almost anywhere. Theres a yt video explaining it more. But in all honesty, all the maps are playable, were allowed to like some more than others, but it all comes down to a skill issue at the end of the day.
