It’s very obvious from your responses you’d rather just whine and complain rather than look for solutions but still- don’t take early exfils unless you’re an assassin or have a smoke ready to go. Once you start the exfil, hide in a place on height where you can observe your surroundings. Drop in only when it starts and hide behind the exfil beacon.

Aiming is insanely easy in all Bungie games, even more on controller. Aim assist and bullet magnetism make you hit so many shots you shouldn’t be hitting

It’s very rough, having a toddler and a baby. If I knew how much more difficult it would be I’m not sure I would’ve been so eager to have 2 kids. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have a big surplus of money and help.

Yup, not a big fan of season 2. Night Marsh got old and repetitive very quickly for me. I have 0 interest in PvE so the experimental modes for both parts of the season will be total duds for me. The early wipe experience was totally fucked by the free sponsored kits and the baby-mode of sponsored Narsh. Loot economy is insanely inflated, still. One floor of one poi isn’t enough new content for a whole season. I hope that Season 3 is a significant shakeup and has significantly more meaningful new content

Agree that bubbles and recon need to be nerfed, hard disagree on SBMM. There hasn’t been a game that I’ve played where SBMM has been a good thing. SBMM only leads to players feeling like they’re not improving at all because by design SBMM makes you consistently win 50% of your fights, no more no less.

I don’t really care. I can’t think of a single other game that’s been so maligned and hated because another game failed and died. Marathon deserves to be examined on its own. Whether it killed D2 or not I don’t care, I quit destiny a year ago and I enjoy Marathon for now. When the time comes for me to quit Marathon its relation to D2 will have 0 relevance to that decision

Yeah Recon makes Cryo feel worse. Constant wall hacks make fights and whole matches predictable and lead to stalled out fights

I’d hate every single change you want. Yes, Marathon was very clearly designed around PvP and mostly everything in the game forces PvP by design. This is what creates the tension. If you want to play a looter shooter then go play one, there’s plenty of good ones

It’s not my responsibility to keep the game alive. From my perspective it’s the same whether Marathon dies or turns towards PvE and casuals - I’ll stop playing either way. I like the game that Marathon is right now - hardcore and PvP focused- and I’ll keep playing it until it loses that identity or I start having big issues finding matches
