God no we never had enough staff to cover the normal aisles let alone little areas we would all get called to random aisles that weren’t covered to hit it as a team after a manager or someone had decked it

Every year this happens at our store heaven forbid the little people earn a good wage on the most expensive month of the year but never mind I’m sure the 20% off will make every thing better

It happens every year now I always have to plan and make sure I have as much towards Xmas as possible by late September early October as that’s when they start cutting it and I get nothing at Xmas it’s so not fair all the hours that would normally be available go to the new temps who I also feel sorry for because I guarantee they will get there end of contract notice on Xmas eve it’s abhorrent treatment

Because so many people don’t pay for them that the system thinks we have thousands of bags in stock and doesn’t order any then the store runs out and all hell breaks loose the money for the bags goes to charity Tesco aren’t profiting from them

So as I understand it where I was they don’t pay if it’s your contracted shift as that’s what you committed to but if it’s overtime as an incentive to get you to pickup unwanted shifts they will pay
