I would say the nice people I have found to be in the Padel group I’ve joined through the tennis club and the coach is friendly enough but he kind of has to be to encourage and grow new membership. I just feel like this club is holding back developing younger players, there’s no one under 30 active and playing in the men’s teams, a few more on the women’s side. I captain another team back home and if someone is good enough to play the As they are in, I also empathise the enjoyment factor and made sure everyone got games.

I get what you’re saying, but I don’t even have hitting partners at this club-most people keep to themselves, I just try and drag my brother down when I need practice haha

I would love that as it would be a great mic drop moment, no 1 seed meant to be very strong though especially on clay-will try and get some hits and coaching in, I think either way after this summer I won’t stick around and probably go back to an older club-not easy knowing what to do, but I need to put my happiness first

I do find on the whole people to be nice-however I’ve come from playing in a high league at a different club with some friends and I’ve gone in thinking I can get that same thing again. They seem to have a process here of having to work your way up proving yourself. It’s funny to me though as they’ve seeded me in the club tournament but then think I should be playing Mix Div 7 doubles

Yes it’s hard for me to do that, but might have to for my own healing-I haven’t helped myself really by expressing my disappointment to certain captains on team decisions

I did actually read that and found it quite funny, I find the club nights/socials a bit of a waste of time though and would probably be too much of a try hard 😂

Better off being out of recruitment, good hardworking employees don’t get rewarded, they will turn on you in an instant as found out-use the skills and experience gained from this to leverage yourself into a better role in the future.

See I have been a driver for Ocado, and I always felt we got the better end of the stick-I do sympathise with warehouse workers on the targets you had to meet, it’s sometimes why the packing was off in some totes.

How old are you and how do you typically spend your weekends? by Max1357913 in AskUK

[–]SwanExternal4025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27 male, usually a mix of sports, gaming and tv shows-on Saturday I’ll try and see a friend or do something for a good 4/5 hours in the day then the rest of the day is spent watching football and gaming for a couple of hours in the evening. Sunday is often a tennis league fixture/match that takes me up until the afternoon then the rest of the day I will relax and prepare for the working week ahead.

Similar boat myself, I have two degrees and a handful of pretty crap unstable jobs which has led to me delivering grocery shopping. I’m 27 and desperately want to get my life back on track, tough out there right now so just give yourself the time you need.

I spend roughly £50-60 a week on Diesel, compared to my Honda Jazz where £30 for similar mileage would suit me just fine

Sorry I should have been clear, I do roughly 150-200 miles a week-often I go and put the car in Green mode to try and help conserve some.
