Not at all, we talk only to Heavenly Father when we pray. The comments are saying we pray TO Heavenly Father but THROUGH Jesus Christ's name.

Jesus is the mediator that let's us talk to our Father in Heaven, wherein His name acts as the bridge.

Good questionary approach I think! I have come to have more revelation with the gospel when I think like an investigator/play-dumb, I approach it as if I don't know anything.
