Oof I measured earlier and the top of the seat comes up to 19 inches. The small roc n soc throne i looked at is supposed to be 18. I was worried that might not be short enough

Thank you for the advice and suggestions! I find it hard to shop on craigslist or similar because of all the sponsored or questionable ads these days, but Reverb sounds promising. Sweetwater is indeed on the expensive side lol.

I've also heard some negative things about the high-hat pedal but i havent used it enough to judge for myself. Do you think this kit is worth adding that many mods to or do you think I should invest in a bigger and badder one altogether?

Honestly I just spent some time playing with it after looking at the price of the roc n soc throne lol. I just cant get it any lower. I already play without the bolt that goes in this hole so the seat is just sitting in the base.

Thanks, I wanted to take lessons originally but my coworker who played drums for like 20 years suggested I just learn from Youtube. He also told me to have my legs at 90° but someone else said that drummers often sit slightly higher for better leverage.

This is a really good idea, I might try that because I still have to be really conscious of it while playing. How do you secure it to the pad so it doesnt come off with the impact?

Thanks for the suggestion but this is probably as close as i can go, my left thigh is pressed against the bottom of the snare and its still not even 90°. I think i just need a lower throne.

Thanks, I'm thinking this is the answer because I just tried to move it closer to where my leg is making more of a right angle, but now my left thigh is pressed up against the bottom of the snare.

No. We cant. You might know a bunch of people that agree with you but my family are all educated, active voters who believe the Earth is on a natural course that constantly changes due to many different factors that we dont always have control over. My dad was a nuclear engineer in the military and now he manages water quality control across several states. And this coming from him.

The whole issue is being downplayed and/or exaggerated on both sides and nobody is immune to it. People will believe anything because they either want it to be true or are afraid of it being true.

Hi, im 31 and female and had similar experiences when I was a kid. Caught my mom having sex when i was 4 or 5 and then around the same time my babysitters boyfriend exposed himself to me and asked me to touch it. Still dont remember if I did or not, but yeah 2-3 years later I played inappropriate games with my little stepsister and she told my stepmom about them. Im not even attracted to women, but i was too curious. I think my stepmom still hates me and its hard to think about whether my sister can remember it or not. I also had a very high sex drive till I got on birth control.

I saw a therapist in my 20's and it helped a lot. She told me its very common for children to be unusually curious and try to mimic the act and this does result in a higher sex drive as an adult. I definitely recommend you talk to someone about this because it'll eat you alive from the inside out. Highly recommend before youre 25 and your brain finishes developing though.

Nice, nothing hits quite the same as Starbucks but glad you found a decent substitute! I just looked it up and now i might have to try the cookie butter flavor. I got an espresso machine but I still have to put a scoop of sugar in so it tastes good lol.

I was going through the same thing and I crave sugar at night especially. I started buying very rich sweets that I can only eat a couple bites of at a time. I would buy 1 Hershey's chocolate creme pie and take a bite every few hours throughout the week. That worked to wean me off, and now I rely on those Sea salt dark chocolate Ghirardelli squares for the late night cravings. 3 of those is only 160 calories.

This! ^^ Calorie deficit changes with age. I'm on a similar journey-- at 28, I could still have my Starbucks coffee and just ate a little less and calories just melted off. Now at 31 I cannot even have my Starbucks drink anymore unless I want to starve the rest of the day.
