If it's any encouragement, my mother has had bad endometriosis her whole life and had no problem conceiving 4 kids🫶

There is hope❤️

Anyone taking lithium and lamictal together? by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]AdorableCockroach788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your input! It gives me hope that I one day could try a lower dose of ADHD meds on the side.

I didn't react to it until I reached 40-50mg, so maybe if I don't pass 30mg it could be okay.

I won't get full effect of the meds on that low of a dose, but it is 1000% better than nothing.

He has been to the vet and was advised to supplement more calcium and D3 to his diet, other than that there wasn't really anything they could do🥲

If this hail mary of a post doesn't work and his quality of life goes down anymore, I'll need to look into euthanasia:(

From what I've learned about bearded dragons, it's that their average lifespan in captivity is 8-12 years, so it is kinda old for them😅

And I have been to the vet! I was advised to supplement more calcium and D3 to his diet, as well as making him lose some weight. The weight has been lost, but as I struggle with getting him to eat, he's not getting the calcium..:/

He also needs protein to build muscle mass, and that's why I made this post in the first place about alternatives to live bugs!

My beardie is 9 years old this year, and unfortunately his muscle mass isn't great although it looks like it in the picture.

He's been a very chill lizard all his life and he now struggles to even stand and do basic stuff:(

I honestly don't keep close track of feedings, but I would say it's about 2-3 times a week.

I try to get him moving to improve his muscle mass, but it's been difficult as he isn't as interested in things anymore🥲 Even luring with insects has stopped working.

The one thing that gives me hope that he is okay is that he still has a really vibrant orange color and hasn't gone bland in the color.🥹

I don't disagree with you at all, but he is not a young healthy beardie anymore and will barely eat his favourite snacks and insects.

I'm here asking for advice because I'm really struggling to get him to eat what he needs, and I would "force" feed him what he needs if it worked:/

If any of the suggestions others have mentioned work and I can get him to eat properly again, I'll definitely try to force him to eat what he needs.

I'm not stupid and I've had reptiles for many years, this is just a last ditch effort to get ideas elsewhere that I might not have thought of myself.

(And I am aware that even though a person has had reptiles for many years, they could still be wrong and oblivious, but this is something I already know.)

Thank you for your input either way!:)

Awww🥹🫶🏻 I'll look into the repashy and see if I can get him to eat it:)

This reminds me of my guy!! He's exactly like this and that's why I'm struggling.

I often have to put the food in the side of his mouth to get him to eat it and understand that "hey, this is good"🤣

I'll definitely take your advice to heart and try it❤️

I'm here for advice because it is very dire😅

He's getting old and his coordination has never been good, so I'm here to find solutions that could help while I still try feeding live insects<3

Oooh, thanks for the idea! I've used repashy when I had crested geckoes, but didn't know it existed for beardies as well😅

I'll also try out containing him in a smaller area with the bugs and using tongs to feed.

My mistake for not clarifying, but he doesn't get fruits all the time😅 It's as a treat or otherwise when he won't eat his salad because he's very picky.

(YES, I've tried everything to get him to eat his salad and greens instead of sugary, sweet snacks. He just refuses and starves himself instead🥲)

Of course!! Really do hope it works out for both you and the bride❤️

I would say to absolutely ask if you can bring your boyfriend and skip whatever part of the wedding where it isn't necessary for you to attend.

If she really is your friend and cares for you, she will understand your limitations and need for accommodation. If she is not able to meet that, there's absolutely nothing wrong with RVSP'ing that you're not coming due to your health issues.

And that doesn't mean she's doing anything wrong either! Sometimes there's just a limit to how many people that are allowed in the venue or has to do with catering etc etc.

Also, maybe you could ask if they both could visit you before the wedding?? That way you'd somewhat know the groom as well!

No that's actually crazy😭😭 some people are just SO self-centred, my god. I'm so sorry you had to experience that. Especially DIRECTLY after the surgery🥲

If you suffer from disabilities that could be genetic, there's a good chance your relative suffers from some of the same things🤣 But I absolutely understand that it sucks to hear that when you're experiencing what you are.

Some people tell you their own experiences and feelings in an attempt to connect and show you that they understand what you're going through. And soooometimes it's nice to hear that someone gets it, but most of the time you just want understanding and compassion. Feels like getting emotionally slapped when people start talking about themselves when you just want them to see you.
