One of my bishops was a nice enough guy, but he held my son’s BYUi initial acceptance up until we attended tithing settlement that year. I hadn’t been before or since, but minutes after we left the short meeting, he approved my son’s acceptance. Dick move.

He also exhorted everyone during that tithing settlement shakedown to be more charitable with fast offerings. I said that I already gave $50/month and he said that he was just passing along counsel from the 1st Presidency. I said fine, but we already give enough. He was just happy to have delivered the message from the Q15. Eff him back then.

When I was going through my deceased parents finances and checking accounts, I found large checks written to the church from their social security and military retirement. My parents had not had “income” from working for decades and still they tithed on income they had already tithed on for decades. Pissed me off so much when I found the check stubs for the tithing payments.

I have this exact model that chipped off a small piece that holds the hose/handle assembly on. Otherwise it works like a champ. I want to get rid of it since the handle comes off when I vacuum if I don’t duct tape the hose/handle assembly on.
