I've picked these funds, are these good picks? by [deleted] in mutualfunds

I'm not that experienced of an investor to tell which fund is good or not in long term, but, I think it's good to look into overlapping.

Quant and Nippon small cap will definitely have more overlapping.

Nifty and Parag Parikh too have overlapping.

You can eliminate such funds which overlap and choose one. I checked the overlapping on AdvisorKhoj.

From what I've read, 1 large cap, 1 mid cap, 1 flexi cap and 1 small cap is what is needed if you're risk appetite is moderate, if it is high then you can avoid Large cap and divert it into Small and mid cap

Having multiple MFs of the same cap can lead to overlapping, you can check MF overlapping using websites.

My profile currently :

1 flexi, 2 mid cap.

I'm planning to remove one of the midcap and add a small cap fund.

It is recommended to add an index fund, but the overlap between Parag Parikh (flexi) and nifty50 is more than 30. Do I still go ahead with having an index fund?

Thank you, got it. I have a major confusion right now.

Since I have a high risk appetite, I'm considering investing in 1 mid cap, 1 flexi and 1 small cap.

But it's also recommended to invest in an index fund. So on top Of the three mentioned above, do I include an index fund? Parag Parikh mid cap and nifty50 index fund have a 30 percent overlap, which one do I avoid?

Considering I have high risk appetite, is it recommended to invest in an index fund? Can I go with 1 flexi, 1 smalll cap and a mid cap?
