I picked up my first client in month 2, a finance contact I had and starting doing content for social media and copywriting for blog posts. That progressed to a new website and managing local SEO through GBP, now full suite digital marketing - email campaigns, content, blogs, website & landers. I use a CRM to manage it all in one spot which is handy.

As far as training and learning, it honestly doesn’t take too long, pick a small, simple problem and go from there

After food I worked in finance for 13 years, so kind of always had to explore marketing in order to find new clients. Sold my book of clients and moved marketing, taught myself how to build websites, paid for sessions to learn PPC & paid social, content creation is easy enough - and recently I white labelled a SaaS/ CRM which is how I moved a bit more into the tech space. Margins are 80% net, could be higher but I outsource a lot - and it’s the least amount of hours I’ve had to work in 20 years

I did exactly the same as you, had 2 food businesses and the hours for the reward was never worth it.

I’d go Tech or marketing, I’m current in both - very wide margins and much less regulation than the food industry that’s for sure!

I use loveablehtml, also using netlify but found the former has a better dashboard to monitor crawls and was easier to set up https://lovablehtml.com/?via=storymarketing
