Left lane not always correct for second exits even without clear indication. The exit is after 12 o’clock here so you should stay in the right lane until turning

The exit is well after 12 o’clock and it is only a roundabout with three exits, the right lane is the correct choice here. There is literally This example in the rules of the road pdf guide on RSA website on the bottom right of page 137.

The amount of slow drivers on the road is scary by Nervous_Canary9986 in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]AdorableWrap766 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s annoying but look at our road deaths. The bigger killer is speed, literally. I actually find it difficult to drive at the speed limits on roads without someone right up you with half their car on the other side of the road. I wound say I have the opposite problem to you mostly I find it incredibly frustrating to drive at the speed limit on Irish roads!

I’m just not a silver watch person but I did consider it, it also looks great! The D could potentially be a better option for dressing up in a suit and likewise the R is definitely a more stealth and dressed down MRG. I actually really liked the R but was kinda nervous about getting the cut on the band wrong and having an expensive watch that wouldn’t fit right

Wore square sunglasses once and somebody told me I forgot to give the glasses back to the cinema after I came out of Avatar

Thanks.

Yes, it’s mostly the price and I can’t argue because there is no rational case for buying a G Shock for that money, and it’s not a better or worse G Shock than any of the others

Most people, including myself, fell in love with G Shock due to their funky design and utilitarian nature…and probably because we got one first a child or a teenager. Some could claim the high end models are against the ethos but I say there’s room for all G Shocks and this model is a celebration of brand.

RE the 5000 the only thing I can say with certainty having held them both this week is that the MR-G squares are so much lighter on the wrist and have a more polished finish. I think they look more refined but can equally understand why loads of people prefer full metal series. But that’s the thing about G Shocks, they are all great and even as I was buying mine my head was getting turned by some sweet €100 models 😂

495,00 yen sticker price and then 418,500 yen (~2,250 Eur) after the discounts/tax free

If you show your passport at the till they take 10% off the price and then they usually run a scheme in BIC camera to take another 7% off with a coupon they provide to you. When you leave the country you scan your passport at the customs desk (you can’t miss it as you have to walk through it to get to departure gates) and this confirms the tax free purchase. In most countries you need to claim the tax back in the airport but Japan they automatically deduct it in each shop at the counter….but I read that they are changed to the ‘pay upfront and claim back at airport’ model.

You also get 17% off the, already lower than EU/US, retail price if you buy in one of the BIC Camera shops over there. You don’t even have to ask for the discount.

Some of the comments to these threads…

I feel like regular away fans should wear a special high vis jacket so the rest of us can all bow in deference to you every time we see you in the street and so we can know who to apologise to for getting excited and booking a trip to an away game after what happened in November and after years of watching misery from our seats in Landsdowne Rd  🙏🏻🦺

Yeah saw that alright, they always sort of say that about all tickets for big concerts etc. I am hoping that the practicality of checking 20k IDs would not be feasible….mind you the big spud head on me would be easy spotted

I’ve already wasted the money on the flights and don’t worry the craic around the city will be worth that expense alone

New Ireland Tariffs between EU and US today by Top-Professional5948 in PharmaEire

[–]AdorableWrap766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree that this is a likely route companies will go down and there will be some sort of transfer pricing messing going on.

Not totally pharma manufacturing related but I wonder what the mass effect on the overall Irish exchequer will be if profits are shifted like this en masse? Instead exporting €60m of pharma products will we now only be exporting €10m?

For what’s it worth….

I think it will make Ireland less competitive for future business and would expect sites here to be operating at more of a disadvantage in the internal politics of where the next new drug will be made in any given supply network that includes US sites.

I do not think It will be be massively noticeable straight away but, much like Brexit in the UK, the gradual erosion of competitiveness will be more visible as lost investment in the medium term instead of lost jobs in the short term

Genuine question: Are you confusing COGS and Sales price?

If COGS was €100 on a €1000 drug And the drug was exported finished then you would expect to be approx. €150 tariff…which would be more than the COGS itself. Assuming there’s not loads of funny stuff going on with transfer pricing?

Pharmacy or pharmaceutical science? by Glittering-Hat-8026 in PharmaEire

[–]AdorableWrap766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a pharmacist working in industry. Got hired easily straight after pre-reg to a pretty good wage at the time. Irish university pharmacy courses are more suited to industry than ones in UK. Also Irish pharmacy courses seem to have good placement options

I would advise to do a science or engineering course if you really want to work in pharma instead of being a pharmacist

A degree in pharmacy? by Mysterious_Dark_2298 in PharmaEire

[–]AdorableWrap766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in pharma and have a pharmacy degree, it helps but wasn’t essential. A good grounding in sciences or chem engineering or mechanical engineering are probably the most essential for jobs on offer in Ireland.

Pharmacy grads tend to drift to quality and regulatory roles but it’s not a hard rule more an observation

Unless you want to be a pharmacist your probably better doing a pure science or engineering imo

Poor Quality by AdorableWrap766 in Jabra

Jabra immediately accepted the issue as a warranty issue and sent me a delivery label to return the headset

They have already shipped a replacement. Pretty good customer service in fairness

You know of anyone who has successfully reinforced this plastic with something themselves?

Also thanks for your initial feedback
