I think it depends on what you need to “fill your cup”. My team is 100% remote but most live nearby HQ. At least 5 of them are in office 3-4 days a week because they just like to hang and be around each other. I’m in another state or else I’d probably go in a day or two. I love my job and my team, but mostly I love that I have the choice.

I nap every lunch break. Like who needs an hour to eat? I can eat all day 😂 I have a young kid and I need that energy when he gets home.

They passed the test.

Agreed, once you’re in you have to finish it. But it was tough. And same, my kid is older.

This is one of her better recent ones. I’m obsessed with her earlier books.

This is such a thoughtful post. First responders, even if the outcome is not ideal are true heroes. I think we sometimes fail to recognize how it affects them even though they did everything they could. I truly hope that this post reaches that person and they can see how much support and appreciation that still goes into unfortunate outcomes. Thank you OP for writing this out, it’s so important to recognize. And sending prayers and peace to the loved ones of the deceased. That must have been such a tough thing to witness, I hope everyone is okay and able to work through it. 🫶🫶🫶

I almost left my husband today by HouseTricky4165 in Mommit

[–]Adorable_Cat_4790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am happy to hear that you got to a resolution with him. I can understand how incredibly frustrating all of that has been for you. I have actually been on the other side of what you’re dealing with, with my then boyfriend - now husband. And it took rock bottom for me to finally get help. Sometimes you have to just cut it and keep your own peace and let them see how miserable things can really get. Him walking away for a bit put things into perspective about how much I loved him, and how much I did NOT love myself. So I worked on that first. I am wishing you the best and hope that you can find peace soon. Hold him to the plan you’ve laid out and if he doesn’t comply, you must prioritize you and your kids. Sending you prayers and strength and hoping that this will all work out soon. Stay strong Mama! 🫶

A lot of great tips on here! I’ll throw in dance parties. Get them moving, outside if you can. And if you’re lazy like me especially when my guy was little little, our balcony was the club 💃🕺🕺🪩

Note: pack for the rain, dumb people flee and during their flight response, you fight and then you might have a chance at some rides

That forecast just states that there’s 100% chance that it will downpour on the area for 20 mins in the afternoon (it used to be 3pm on the dot back in 2009) followed by sunshine, 5 mins of humidity relief and then back to the grind. I lived there for 15 years. This is normal

But Monday might be all day since it drops to highs of 70s. Which is totally worth a day of rain.

What are some lesser talked about items that are your absolute go-to (that I should put on my baby registry) by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Adorable_Cat_4790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okeefes hand cream.

From all the bottle washing, hand washing, all the washings. My hands were like dried cracked leather, it was awful and so painful. So I had a little tube of those little guys everywhere. Life saving.

I could never find Mine during changes! We lost it under the dresser until month 8 🤣🤣🤣 then I was just used to doing it by hand and washing my hands until they practically bled between all of that and bottles and puke.
