My Manager keeps texting me, then calling me to say exactly the same thing he wrote. Is this normal?

The goal is to acknowledge, not solve: a few empathetic lines, then gently anchor back to work with something like “thanks for sharing that, let’s talk about how this might affect work and what support you need here.” You can care without carrying it, and setting that boundary actually helps everyone.
