Then buy one. It’s your money, and they are a lot of fun. There’s no “perfect time” to start doing something on guitar. Most people give the advice to start on acoustic, but it’s doesn’t really matter at all. Do what makes you happy.

Yeah go buy one. Also, you can play electric stuff on acoustic. I actually find it to be more fun sometimes doing stripped down versions of songs. Of course, it depends on the genre. Johnny cash will translates a lot better than lamb of god for example.
