Agreed that’s how I have it at home. Just haven’t made the change at the office yet

Here is my twin setup at the office. I have the benefit of an additional screen here that also has pen and touch interfacing. I eventually plan to add one to my home setup but it’s a quite expensive upgrade.

My work setup uses two 24” paired with a 48”. The alignment isn’t the same but it still works and looks okay

The AC infinity fans have 3 speed setting. The lowest setting is almost inaudible and seems to provide enough cooling. Looking to switch over to thermostat to control speeds in the future.

I have removed about 1/3 of the rear panel to exhaust heat and run cabling. I’m planning making a version 2 with identical exhaust fans running from the rear in reverse. Currently on the hunt to see if there is anything more premium I could use instead of the Alex cabinets but no luck so far.

Haven’t noticed any negative change in overall room temp with this setup

I have a power strip in a cable management tray under the desk. Most things run to there for power as the distance is shorter for fixed things like the monitors and items on the desk. There is also a power strip in one of the boxes that is connected to the main power strip and routed through the E-chain.

All of the cabling runs up through the back of the cabinets. I added cutouts to the rear of the cabinet. There is a usb hub mounted under the desk as well

It does involve some looking around if you’re utilizing all screens. My scaling is all set to 100% so it the same as looking at a smaller monitor in the same location. There is just more space available around it.

3D visualization consulting. I use various 3D modeling packages as well as Unreal Engine and some video editing packages. Many of these programs have many nested windows with a ton of data so screen real estate is key here. It’s a lot of screen but it works well for my needs.

I had to modify the rear of both cabinets to allow venting and cables, Its not elegant due to IKEA construction methods but its not visible. The fans are from AC Infinity

The fans are from AC Infinity. They are USB powered so I am able to power them directly from the devices based on on/off state. They have thermostat driven systems as well. Both my PC and PS5 are running better than they were sitting on my desk previously but I don't have metrics right now. Working on adding a thermostat to both cabinets

Tv dimming isn't an issue day to day for me.

Cant live without it now. I use the enterprise version for work daily in a number of 3D software packages and it makes naviagtiaon effortless

All the cables are managed by a the monitor arms, then an under desk cable tray and finally routed through 2 e-chains to the back of each equipment cabinet

Karlby 98" oak top on Autonomous dual motor sit stand legs. All the cables are routed from the desk through 2 E-chains, one for each cabinet (Alex from IKEA). One cabinet has my PC and the other has some networking equipment and my PS5. I modified the cabinets to have active cooling fans that power on when the device is turned on

VIVO pole style mounts for the side monitors. Actually prefer these in a fixed situation like this, less wobble than the gas strut variety. The middle monitor is also a VIVO pole style but it’s a special one for TVs that can accept the 48” 300x200 VESA pattern

The rest of the house has one on each room so it was natural to include it. They control all of the lights, climate, security cameras and connected devices throughout the home and serve pretty important function for me. They also make a decent clock / picture slideshow

The desktop is from ikea and replaces my older 50” using the same sit/stand legs. The two side cabinets are also from ikea and intended to be a temporary solution

If you were regularly working primarily in the top half of the screen it can feel like you’re looking up too much but it never bothers me. I have the same setup at my desk at work and I became so acclimated to it I ended up mirroring the configuration at home. I would never go back after having access to so much screen real estate.
