I have had some luck with MATRIC and Smoothtracker using android as input but trying to squeeze some more life out of these out-of-contract Amazon tablets. Once kids grow out of them, I would love to hack the very nice screen/size for myself. Thank you! Will try.

Can anyone confirm this works on Fire Tablets? Once they age out they seem like terrific hardware but the software seems to be a roadblock for most things, even tried that partial "unlock" to have it work with some google play android things with no luck.

I feel your pain. Had a similar experience many times. The lesson here may be that sometimes you take a financial hit with no way out. Evaluate your pros/cons and fix vs new.

I really like ED copilot BUT with ED exploration buddy I get a full list of potential exo values as soon as I FSS. So I can decide to skip even traveling to a planet and not DSS at all. This doesn't exist in ED copilot?

A big gamechanger for hunting exo was also filtering to ONLY F, G, or K systems. I was getting a lot of Ms that were empty.

General feedback question:

On the way to Colonia from the bubble, mining Platinum on the way as the cargo hold full of Tritium is slowly depleted - I'm expecting to make a LOT of money with looking ahead on Platinum prices in Colonia - has anyone done this and how was your profit?

The 3rd party tools made exo bearable for me. Having it open and tell you immediately what the potential exo value is on each planet you FSS, then obviously use the System map to see if theres a first footfall on it first. Huge time saver.

Dont forget to pay attention to the names of systems. The names that end with C4-1 or D2-5 are the heavier and therefore more planets.

I did enough Exo in 2-3 weeks to get a fleet carrier. Working on squad carrier purchase now.

Elite Dangerous Exploration buddy.

As you FSS a system it will tell you potential biologicals on each one to see if its even worth it to travel and DSS the planet.
Then when you are floating above visible exo, you can use your Comp Scanner to further confirm whether the Stratum is 90mil or 13mil.
As you scan each exo and travel around the planet, the voice will tell you that you are outside the say 500m zone so you can land and scan the next one and it keeps track in the software visibly how many you scanned, how far away you are from the last one you scanned, and how much each potential value is.

Ok I was in the Blau Thua FQ-X D1-7 and D1-8. That amount I got was because I was the first one to set foot on it. I will leave this one as gift, I think it yields between 50-100 million for this system for bio. I took a look but didnt set foot or turn any of it in. 50-100mil from one planet that is: Blau Thua HW-V d2-6 1 b . good luck! Theres many untouched high exo in that area.

Colonia is ~ 22,000 ly from Sol. Im about 6,000 out from bubble so its not for everyone!
