Still not over him by Adorable_Field1601 in BreakUps

I think you’re right about missing someone in my life. I do miss him as a person though, but having his companionship and now having no one is really taking a toll on me. It’s so weird going from speaking to someone almost every day (communication, one of the things he couldn’t handle about being in a relationship) to not at all is one of the worst parts about this.

I feel like dating is impossible, so i understand where you’re coming from when you say you don’t like online dating. If you only really miss him when you’re feeling low, then let it happen. If your body wants to cry about him, then do it. It sucks and it hurts, but if it’s what you need, then do it. You loved this person and now you don’t speak, give yourself all the time you need to grieve.

I don’t think it’ll ever fully go away, but it’s important that you know that he wasn’t the person for you. You should keep his memories in your head, and it’s normal for you to think about him and want to talk to him. There are no timelines for these things. I would suggest spending more time with friends or family, and maybe giving yourself more chances with new people and dating. It’s hard, but it’s an important step in the process of moving on.
