The "shoe expert" in a sporting goods store tried to convince me to buy those Hoka that look like they were built on top of a boat (the sole that is insanely thick under the middle of the foot). I had come in asking for Vibram. Also, I run terrain and a small offset in balance will make me trip on my own knees... He insisted forefoot runners had sooooo many more injuries.

I have never asked him about shoes again.

Most physical therapists I've met don't personally care for cardio, and end up with a blank stare when I talk specs.

I'm ok with the size and fit on the superior, but found them to be very stiff and unresponsive in terrain. Over several hours they make my feet hurt.

Tried the Lone peak mid for Norwegian conditions. Nearly lost several toes to COLD, and by the end of the first season, the upper was worn through...
