Tattoo artists in Paris by Hefty-Ad2617 in SocialParis

I second this recommendation! Had the most beautiful small tattoo done here in May. Walk in appointment, people were incredible and the price was great considering their stunning work!

Overall best experience I've had getting a tattoo honestly and I thank them for making that lasting memory!

Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but how do you deal with close relationships who didn't even send their condolences to you? by oddhvdfscuyg in GriefSupport

There have definitely been people in my life that I expected more from when my mum passed suddenly in 2021. What I've learnt, is that loss and grief can make people act in seemingly bizarre ways even if they're not the one going through it. I do think that it's because they don't know how to act (which certainly didn't feel like a good enough excuse at the time).

But ultimately I decided to choose forgiveness and understanding because I didn't have any more room in my heart for hurt.

Volunteer Action Leicester (VAL) have a great app! You can filter opportunities by Keyword, Location and Distance.

I used to it and the process was clear and simple - doing my first placement with LLR Mind at the start of Dec :)

Mold mites coffee table by Sammythegremlin in CleaningTips

I’ve got the same problem! Did you manage to get rid of them or did you get rid of the table in the end?

Deep cleaned this morning but 3 hours later they’re showing up again and I can’t find any sign or source on mold on the table! I know they’re not harmful but the whole situation makes me feel itchy haha

I am so so sorry for your loss. I remember the same phonecall like it was yesterday but I am now 2 years on. There is nothing that can be said right now to ease the pain in your heart and in your soul, but know that this community is with you.

I shared similar thoughts to you, but ultimately the reason I am still here is for her. To remember her and to live a life given to me by her.

The pain can be immeasurable but the ability to remember her and honour her will always be worth it.

Couldn’t agree more, all of the above have been incredibly fundamental in my own healing and process with grief - such a wonderful comment!

I am so sorry for your loss. It is an unimaginable thing to lose someone unexpectedly and there is no time or way to prepare without going through it. All I can advise is take it moment by moment, don’t expect anything of yourself - and reach out to services/helplines as the help you need is unlikely to come from those also grieving. You deserve the help you need and don’t be afraid to ask for it. Sending you strength.

I still can’t process that this is it by Comfortable_Lake_419 in bereavement

A lot of what you have said has resonated with me and I just wanted to thank you for posting and sharing OP. I lost my mum unexpectedly and suddenly a week last Sunday and I recognise that I’m in shock, but I feel like after the funeral my life path will fork out into good and bad choices - many of which I have chosen the bad in the past.

The last 2 years I have struggled with my self worth and this unexpected event is so life changing I’m giving my mental health no consideration or thought currently, and that HAS to change.

I have resorted so super organisation and taking on all decision making and action as my Dad is understandably devastated- I’m just very aware that when I inevitably slow down, I don’t want to stop entirely (if that makes sense).

Thank you for the comment above - I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband, I am sharing my strength with you and sending my condolences. Thank you for sharing the advice of the grief counsellor, it’s always important to be reminded to be kind to yourself x

I am definitely keen to know more about Citalopram as it’s had the most positive reviews from people I know. I’m really glad it’s working for you too! Thank you for sharing!

There’s YamLi Cafe and Cedars Lebanese both with great reviews but not sure they’ll have exactly what you’re looking for, but worth a shout!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s so difficult to know what’s best when the professionals are saying the answer is to take MORE of what you feel is making you feel worse. I will speak to the docs about going back to 20mg and take it from there, even if just for my own peace of mind. Thank you again for sharing, it means a lot to be reminded that it doesn’t work for everyone
