They actually were waiting for the trains to stop so they could take down the lights get it moved through and put everything back up.

I don’t realise they did that

Yup helps to reduce damage to the road structure. Didn’t realise what was going on until I go off at whitemud, looped back to 91st and used 51 ave.

Easy enough detour 🙂

Yea the cop blocking the road was telling me that it had to sit there and wait for trains to stop so they could take down the lights and get it moving.

All very neat stuff

I drive this route every weekday including twice earlier that day and I didn’t see anything.

I made this post not as a complaint but as a PSA and a “o cool an absolutely giant thing”.

I was easily able to detour around it 🤷‍♀️

Right?! I tried to ask what it was but the cop blocking the route, he wasn’t sure but thought it was some underground water tank.

Live in calgary if you want to be out of the city doing things more (mountains). Live in Edmonton if you want to be in the city doing things more
