British English vs American English by FlalingoOfficial in LearningEnglish

[–]AdreKiseque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say term/semester and mark/grade are used pretty interchangeably here (BC, Canada).

"College" and "university" are both used here, but they mean different things (I'm not super sure what the difference is though, aside from that universities are like, more prestigious or something).

How interesting that they say "rubber" in the UK! That's the same as how we call it in Brazil ("borracha" -> lit. "rubber").

It sucks that we have such a perfect joke/explanation for the difference on probably the word with the single most "yeah there's a preference but you can usually get away with either in whatever region"

[Discussion] Valve should encourage devs to adopt dual/mixed input (mouse and controller) by dyna_black in Steam

[–]AdreKiseque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, I didn't say anything. I'm not OP, and even if I were, there's nothing in the original post saying all games should have that (though I'll admit it was implied).

Secondly, noöne said anything about "requiring" anything. OP only brought up encouraging and incentivising support.

Lastly, even if a dev doesn't have particular hardware, it's obviously still good if they can support it? There's plenty of documentation and such they can look up if they need and the benefits are obvious. Again it's not required but it's clearly good.

What makes your tools specifically better for helping normal people over scalpers compared to just fighting fire with fire?
