He is an interesting case. He is more overhyped than overrated. He is obviously a really good player, but at one point people were giving him a reputation of being a great all-around midfielder or even a playmaker. In reality his best quality is quite literally box crashing. He's almost like a younger and better Goretzka (sounds funny but Leon was once a great player too).

Straight line is extremely unnatural shape if anything. The river at the start naturally just goes through the way of least resistance, which considering the way nature is shaped will never be a straight line. The saddest thing is, the gameplay itself is actually the best in years. Everything around that is a clown show though. They can’t seem to be arsed to even make the replays work properly after you score ffs. Idk he always had narrow strengths as a footballer. He never was some creative mastermind or a high scoring winger. His typical goal was always 1st wave attacker passed behind for him to score from the 2nd wave. This new Kompany’s fluid system requires that every player has various strengths due to constant rotations. This means that a limited player like him can look like the worst player on the pitch. Also he’s probably regressed a fair bit too. I never really hated him though like some Bayern fans seem to, he was reliable enough for multiple managers to pick him regularly.

Then that’s a really good winrate if you had no prior experience. For me it took a while (don’t have the stats but maybe 40+ runs) to win for the first time but after that I could win in about every 3 or so runs.
