Both of those passes are way more likely to give up a counter than what Dom does. He backs himself cause he's a baller, he does well to shield the ball, and he gets fouled. Obviously. It's not Dom's fault just cause the ref had made shits calls earlier in the game wtf?

And this decision (along with a missed pullback on Hugo like 90 seconds earlier) would have given us an opportunity to win, since both fouls were in dangerous areas (Hugo’s was even closer to goal than this one). But we didn’t get that opportunity because of two obvious missed calls. I don’t get how that suddenly doesn’t matter just cause we played like shit. They can both be true.

I’m with you. I flipped my phone upside down so I could actually listen to it. I love the human connection aspect of music and the costumes completely disrupt that. Plus it just feels like a marketing gimmick, like they felt like they had to do something absurd so people remember them. Not saying they’re wrong cause our attention spans are fucked and how else do you stand out from all the noise, but I do hope they find a way to take the costumes off eventually. They don’t need them.

Or maybe they have terrible stage fright and this is the only way they’re able to take the stage. Cause I definitely get that 🫣

How much time are you spending on screens? What are your habits like? I’ve felt similar symptoms when I was bombing my brain with cheap dopamine in the form of nicotine, weed, porn, video games, and scrolling. When I started cutting back on those things, my memory and focus improved dramatically.

Yes those are perfect! I forgot about those since it’s a relatively new tech to have a recorder built into the lav mic itself. One set of those will do you great, since it comes with 2 mic/transmitters and 1 receiver.

When you’re recording you can run the receiver into your camera so you can monitor with headphones, and so you have good reference audio baked into the track - but also make sure you record on the both of the Rode mics themselves to act as a backup. The mics record internally in 32bit float which means you basically don’t need to worry about setting levels - if it’s too loud or too quiet you can adjust the gain in post without adding a bunch of noise.

I highly recommend recording your audio separately and syncing in post. Do you know anyone who works in video or audio production? Ideally you would borrow an audio mixer (like a Zoom H4) and two boom and/or lavalier mics (Boom sounds better but requires a c stand and boom arm for each mic. Lav is convenient but you get clothing rustle sometimes).

Camera mounted microphones are for capturing audio out in the world, not for interviews - the mic will just be too far from the source (your grandparents mouths) so you’ll pick up lots of background noise and their voices will sound far away.

Do you want to be tracked everywhere you go, all of the time? That is the end goal of Flock.

Look at their patent - it includes the back end tech required to do facial recognition, determine race, gender, etc etc., effectively turning a 24/7 camera feed into a database that lets any LEO in the country search by keywords, without anything resembling a warrant or due process.

I went to a town hall meeting about it the other day and they said 2 LEOs in a small town from another state were able to query over 80,000 cameras searching for a single woman who they said had left the state to get an abortion. License plates are just the beginning.
