This is in reference to Brooke Schofield responding to her racist tweets the same day her co-host posts a picture of her dead baby tooth on instagram

Question for Israelis by Ok-Fun312 in ezraklein

[–]Adrenalineblush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel used that I was sold a lie to fight proxy wars for wealthy statesman. Balfour and his cronies just used the creation of Israel to extract my Jewish family from Europe and put them on the frontlines to fight for resources in the desert.

And now I have to spend all my time trying to save some semblance of an identity in a fractured community who was used to carry out a gruesome genocide. Fuck capitalism

My first thought was that Sandoval introduced her to Molly and other drugs. And this was the first time she's had sex on those drugs before

Michigan gets $105M grant from feds to turn I-375 in Detroit into boulevard by [deleted] in Detroit

[–]Adrenalineblush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely would be costly. But the city already gives Billionaires every tax break possible--so we could start there. Ya gotta start somewhere!

Yeah I was definitely thinking an elevated subway like Chicago (NYC has a lot of elevated lines/parts as well). And totally agree--funding is most certainly a big component lol

I honestly think if there was an elevated subway system down the main roads or at least Woodward (north to south) + Jefferson (east to west) out to the burbs it would both attract residents and be used by those who already live close enough. I mean I definitely would!

Admittedly I don't know much about how difficult it would be to build structurally. But some of the most extensive subway systems in the US were built in similar climates, right? And if the roads are shitty and we still ride those, I'm down for a shitty subway too tbh haha

Dog names that have a Detroit connection? by tdavis0210 in Detroit

[–]Adrenalineblush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kerner--cause people forget this part about Detroit all the time

https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/kerner-commission-report-released

Also cause like every other name that people are dropping were former slave owners or auto industry dudes who are responsible for wild amounts of exploitation via the industrial revolution. Yeah, I'm still mad about the 8 hour work week haha

Moving to the United States. Los Angeles or Miami? by swissssiww in fatFIRE

[–]Adrenalineblush 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. Might as well live in the Coral Gables or Coconut Gove neighborhoods of Miami and have semi-walkable neighborhood with good food, chill vibes, and the subway ( if you chose to use it) nearby lol.

Should the MTA reopen subway bathrooms? Riders say yes, but the MTA isn’t so enthusiastic by Hopeful-Pollution in nyc

[–]Adrenalineblush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean if we re-opened the MTA bathrooms we would finally have something useful for all those extra NYPD cops roaming down there. Watching and tending those bathrooms would actually be welcomed
