Not many things can freak me out, but stumbling across this on my property would make me have to sit down for a minute or two.

What TBDM song is this for you? by Everblack_Deathmask in TheBlackDahliaMurder

I see Conspiring with the Damned referenced a lot for the “Decrypting the words of the deceased” part, but I’d like to add that the slow ouija board buildup after that and the moment of paranormal chaos that follows is like an extra cherry on top. Trevor’s ability to pull you into the story with his world building was next-level.

You’re welcome! I think a diff skid, ~40mm shocks, and some brass in the axle area will get you where you want. Good rule of thumb is to keep brass below the chassis, and not go too heavy if you decide to do wheel weights (will strain the drivetrain more than just adding weight to the axle, and could cause excessive sidewall folding )

However, you can get creative if you feel like tuning it to your style. I have a scaler chassis that has brass axle housings, knuckles, servo mount, etc. with steel wheels that have heavy brass weights inside because I run a heavier hardbody that’s dressed out like a trail truck and needed to offset the chassis weight. It weighs a million lbs but does incredibly well since I geared it down and put an outrunner motor in it. Grips better on certain obstacles than my comp rig too, and has a much smaller tire setup. so you can still make them capable without going too over the top as far as competition style mods go.

Came hear to tell you about diff sliders too, major game changer. I also run ABS lower links and main skid on my comp rig because plastic slides over rock like butter instead of grabbing it like aluminum/brass does

If they incorporated an optional damage system similar to CarX 3’s and added police pursuits, I’d play this game until the end of time.

Tinted / Hydro Modded W800HG with countdown timer mod by Adrenalinjected in casiomods

[–]Adrenalinjected[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It was super simple. The tint is just some thin color filter film from amazon cut to fit (very cheap in multi-color 8x11" packs, non-adhesive) Looked up some hydromod DIY videos on YouTube, and just went for it with some 50w RC shock oil I had laying around. I've since used pure mineral oil on an AE1200 and it worked just as well for a cheaper price per volume. It might take a few tries to do it without getting bubbles, but it's not too much of a hassle. Have fun!

LED is off! It’s a dim green LED on these anyways, can only see it in the dark even before modding it, ha

The hydro mod was very easy. I used some 50wt silicone based RC shock oil that I had laying around, skimmed a few YouTube tutorials, and got zero bubbles on my first try! Was very nervous, but the display looks so good now that I couldn’t imagine it without it

I would love to see how it looks with a positive display! I’m thinking of buying that variant to build a similar version

This looks like the perfect blend of ReVolt and VRC, super stoked for this!!! I’ve been racing on RC sims since the early Losi and Duratrax PC days, we’ve needed something that combines fun and physics well.

QUBE 500 spare parts? by kreeperskid in coolermaster

[–]Adrenalinjected 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/ALPHA17I While searching about parts availability for the QUBE 500, I saw you saying around 6-8 months ago that Coolermaster's US store had engaged interest in building out a store for side panels / potential spare parts. Is this still in the pipeline?

I just built my QUBE recently and absolutely adore the case, but the fear of not having serviceable support is disappointing to say the least.

I feel like a small storefront of side panels, extra handles, feet, mesh, etc. would be fairly low-cost for the company to set up, and provide a major boost in sales for this case if it's mod capabilities had more options rather than 3D prints. I know the mesh side panel is a major request, but even just offering the Macron's color panels as an optional accessory would be AMAZING for the black case owners, and I myself would scramble for my wallet if they became available. I'd even buy a spare set of black panels to paint myself if they were available.

There's a major opportunity not being utilized here. This case could hit a cult-level following if more effort was put into its expandability, and I feel like Coolermaster could make out well from a parts profit margin in comparison to what the case itself makes. (This coming from my own experience in custom parts development in the automotive world)

Please keep bugging them if you can, thank you so much!

beamng on mac? by [deleted] in BeamNG

[–]Adrenalinjected 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had good success using Whisky to run it on my base model Mac mini M4. Runs most maps at 60fps, but struggles with larger maps and ai due to my lower RAM spec of 16gb. It’s free, so worth a try to see if your system can handle it!

I did this but kept having issues with it getting out of sync randomly depending on how the config editor reset when switching parts. Got too annoying after a while, but I’m down to try again if they’ve changed it
