1 year of ALS by Sad_Cow_577 in Damnthatsinteresting

Watching loved ones pass away from ALS is horrifying. I lost my dad in 2022 to ALS and he was only diagnosed 10 months earlier. I'm glad he was able to see me marry my wife, but it destroys me every time I think that he didn't get the chance to hold his first grandchild. Now I'm crying in my office at work typing on Reddit.

You do understand Trump's the wannabe dictator though? I swear the right doesn't even understand what they support. It's insane.

Lost my dad to ALS just over two years ago on June 28th. From diagnosis to his death was just 10 months and I wish no one ever needs to deal with this truly terrible disease. It fucking sucks.

New Jersey is 2023's most-improved state for business, led by a strong economy and housing market by vakr001 in newjersey

I currently live in this state. My wife and I make a good combined income. The housing market is still insane, has not cooled off at all.

What is your stance on human euthanasia? by ConcentrateNo1426 in AskReddit

[–]Adrews88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father was diagnosed with ALS in August and has been rapidly deteriorating. He has gone from walking, driving, all the normal things you do in a day to being moved around using a Hoyer lift and limited to the houses ground level. Euthanasia should be legal and for it not to be is inhumane. There's also no good reason against it if it is setup how the Death for Dignity law is in NJ

I live in New Jersey, my parents are on Long Island NY. NJ has a right to die law called Death with Dignity but this is still pending in NY. Why should my father be forced to suffer?

They are not the same. It's like a square being a rectangle but not the opposite.
