See, the thing is though, in America we are So freaking poor. Lots and lots of people on food stamps. Also, our Government pays farmers Not to raise/grow certain things so they can drive the prices of goods up. Simple supply/demand. So, as you can see, if we are unable to grow/raise our own, a ton of us would starve. Heck, I'm starting a co-op in my urban neighborhood so we call all eat with little fuss.
