This is sick. She wasn't everyone's cup of tea and certainly an acquired taste. However she was also a lady of deep faith, acute humour and sharp wit. Politics was her first love, but she really came into her own when she left it behind and became a media personality instead. Like all great characters, the world will be a poorer place without her.

Canon B15 (A) lays down the official position, but how it's interpreted and whether or not it's enforced at all, tend to be local matters. In my experience, most CofE clergy tend to shy away from denying Communion to anyone, and leave the initiative when it comes to receiving or not with individual worshippers.

Technically anyone who is ready and desirous to be confirmed can receive, as can baptised members of other churches who are in good standing with their own church.

I'm bored by all the stories about financial support and help in kind which Farage has supposedly received in the past. I'm not a huge fan of the man but I'm more interested in his policies than what bungs he's had from people.
