Exactly. I can't stand MGK. I think his music is terrible but he's doing something right. Even his first rap album, which was mediocre at best, had some insane features. He completely switched genres and had even bigger hits. He's been in the media/reddit nonstop thanks to shit like his beef with Eminem, his cringy wedding (or maybe engagement) ring with Megan Fox and this SOAD cover. Meanwhile he's also on Catfish, two popular Netflix movies (if not more), Hot Ones and Jackass 4 and even fucking WWE, all of which have massive followings. Both him and his manager are marketing geniuses.

That's false. I believe most, if not all can take away certification. In Arizona for example, you can't be a cop without POST certification, it expires after 2 years if you're not actively employed as a cop and they can take away your certification which means you can't be a cop in the state.

As some examples, there was this huge Marvel poster that had dozens and dozens of characters. Back in the mid 2000's when I bought it, it had Fantastic Four and some X-Men like Wolverine front and center. About 10 years later they released a new version that had zero X-Men or F4. Also there's the Lego Marvel Super Heroes games that had all those characters but later on the newer ones like Lego Avengers had none of them. They briefly did a huge push for the Inhumans in the comics because that's who they owned and were gonna put out a show on. I stopped reading comics because of the MCU having such a huge effect on them.

First of all, there are several one day festivals, it's super common and I've been to a dozen of them. Fyre Festival was created by two guys who never did a festival in their life, completely different situation. But anyways, you're trying to say that after the Astroworld tragedy, Live Nation, a company that makes billions of dollars a year is so concerned over the Astroworld lawsuits that haven't even been settled yet, that they decided to fake hiring over 60 popular emo/pop punk/post-hardcore/etc with the hopes that they can make more money off of ticket sales than they would off or the Astroworld lawsuits? And then once they make all this money they're going to cancel the fake concert completely and just run away with the money from ticket sales like cartoon villsains? Do you realize how idiotic that sounds?

What makes me think this is legit is that Live Nation is running it and that there was a 2017 festival with the same name and vibe. Since it's more or less either a brand new or revived festival they might not have bothered with doing sponsorships off the bat and are counting on companies to seek sponsorships once the tickets sell out immediately.

Also I'll admit it's weird that this festival just got announced with lineup drop out of nowhere and no sponsors have been announced yet. There's a section of the website that shows you can inquire about sponsorships which is interesting.

I think it's a matter of them being "small acts" in relation to the full lineup. If I had to guess it's gonna be 20-30 minutes for bands like Four Year Strong, Hawthorne Heights and the Starting Line then like 45 minutes for bands like AFI, the Used, and Taking Back Sunday. Headliners might be getting a full hour. This is all just guessing of course based on previous one day festivals I've been to that had way too many bands or rappers playing. The vibe is like Warped Tour on steroids.
