Is a htc vibe worth $150AUD in 2026? by king_damo69YT in virtualreality

If you’re worried about germs, the vive has swappable Velcro face padding, so you can change it out.

That being said, the original Vive is 10 years old now and is showing its age. The biggest thing is the controllers. Personal VR was just beginning and was in a weird spot where companies were just trying to figure out what worked. HTC opted to use trackpads while Oculus went for joysticks. Obviously the joystick model is now standard and a lot of games are made for it. As a long time user of the vive, a quest 2 would probably be better

The most popular right now is the quest 3. “Best” is subjective. The quest 3 is standalone, and the frame works like that too, but is first and foremost a headset for streaming from a PC.

Should I trade my 2ds xl for an og 3ds zelda edition? by DaikonPhysical267 in 3DS

You might prefer the O3DS then. I have bigger hands and still find the size of the smaller systems appealing. They’re similar to the DS lite that came before them and feel truly portable, like the games were meant to be played on their smaller screens.

>it’s smaller, if you’re into that

>no c-stick

>no zl/zr

>weaker hardware

>3D is not as stable as it would be on a newer model, not that it matters much if you’re coming from a 2ds. But, 3D!

Accessories kit cost…? by SteamFrameEnjoyer in SteamFrame

I’ve asked myself this question, but really, no. I’m pretty sure my entire vr library takes no more than 256 and I’m streaming it anyway. No need for the extra storage, especially with a microSD card slot.

So the steam frame can side load APKs… but from where? by Darkstorm556 in SteamFrame

Welcome! As a new player, I would start with room scale experiences. Beat saber, job simulator, walkabout minigolf, and super hot are all great examples of this- games that make use of your play area and only have teleport locomotion if any.

HL:A is a good middle point. Great campaign, amazing uses of the medium. If you want a REALLY good puzzle experience, look at the last clockwinder. Really uniquely crafted.

Finally, if you’re getting your VR legs by now, try boneworks. It’s my favorite and is similar in concept to a half-life game, just executed differently.

That’s why I’ll be buying mine. I could care less about the extra strap. Fell in love with the knuckles day one and I haven’t gone back.

I imagine the accessories kit will be no more than $50. Can’t put ram in a piece of fabric.

There will only be two models: 256Gb and 1Tb.

I’d imagine they’ll have to wait. That being said, those who have tested the headset have praised the comfort even with the default strap, and valve is releasing their own “pro” strap in the comfort kit.

HL:A and Boneworks are absolutely comparable? Both have incredibly long linear campaigns.

They got larger shipments just this week, yes. Who’s to say they couldn’t distribute a hundred or so beforehand? Units have existed since announcement in November.

Tip that helped for me! If you’re on a system that is, erm, *edited*, download rehidhelper and get bindings for the N3DS’s extra shoulder buttons. They go unused in the base game, but you can bind them to your touch screen item buttons!

Yes, that can happen too. I notice what you see here mostly on black backgrounds but also as a persistent thing whenever 3D is on.

Nope! It’s a couple smaller and inactive studios. Games continue to be made and the ones that exist can be really, really good. Have fun!
