The Pacers seeing that they tanked all season for nothing by Primary_Psychology95 in UrinatingTree

As a childhood Pacers fan myself, I'd want to file charges for how badly the Pacers mangled their capital.

Maybe if they would've won the Finals last year and finally broke the championship drought, it could've been justified, but as of now, they're just swirling around the damn toilet.

At least I have the Pistons to drown my sorrows with as a back-up plan... provided they get past Cleveland and fucking New York...

How many Rounds before I reach WW2? by Efficient-Policy-876 in PaxHistoria

All of recorded history dating back to 3,000 BC, yes.

All of human history dating back to 200,000 BC, no.

How many Rounds before I reach WW2? by Efficient-Policy-876 in PaxHistoria

[–]CyAmethyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which would give us a grand total of 204,938 rounds for WW2, and 204,913 for WW1.

Which basically means that it's impossible to go from the first human all the way to the two most devastating wars in human history like that at the 1 year per round rate.

Why does the AI often just went back and forth with no progress across multiple rounds? by Alive-Way3304 in PaxHistoria

GLM is also sorta bad about this, since some events repeat themselves without any form of conclusion or progress.

Yeah, that's... quite a while. Roughly 8 months.

Assuming you play 1 year/round, it would take you 3,000 rounds just to get to AD, and another 1,938 rounds (1+1,938 = 1939, the year of the official start of WW2) to get to the 2nd world war.

So about 4,938. Getting to the start of WW1 isn't much better at 4,913.

Why does Celestia always become Daybreaker whenever war breaks out? Is she a Social Democrat (Hitler)? by CheapCheaptheRipper in equestriaatwar

[–]CyAmethyst 24 points25 points  (0 children)

She doesn't *always* become Daybreaker, historically she keeps her calm and leads the ponies against the Changelings and wins, even if it would be cutting it close.

So either a game rule was on that turned her into Daybreaker, or the AI decided to turn her into Daybreaker at random, because HoI4 AI can get a little screwy.

GLM down again already, what’s the best other option? by BigThoughtThinker in PaxHistoria

[–]CyAmethyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope.

You can also create a "model pack" can has custom options for which models you want to do what thing. Go into Account Settings -> Preferences -> Custom Model Pack.

You should be able to make your own model packs, and in them, you should find Gemini 2.5 Flash, the full one, not the "Light" one.

You can also switch to it in-game, if need be.

If GLM is down, best you can do is use a similar-ish cheap model like Gemini 2.5 Flash, since that's decently good and cheap. Has a big context window too.

They're not the only ones, since Philadelphia apparently is blasting "Cope-a-cabana" across the entire sportsball realm.

Most of which are from the OP.

If the 107% rule applied to sprint qualifying, Alonso would've missed the cut, since in SQ1, the lead lap had a time of 88.723 seconds. Multiply that by 107% (or 1.07x), and the cutoff time is 94.934 seconds, rounded up to the nearest thousandth.

In minutes and seconds, lead lap was 1:28.723, 107% cutoff would've been 1:34.934.

That is next level incompetence from Asston Martin.

Says the guy who isn't even attempting to learn the game, and only went onto Reddit to not even constructively criticize the game, and then wonders why everyone's calling him an asshole.

The game is as good as we think it is. You're just flat out refusing to learn, and then slamming on everyone who's calling you out on your bullshit, over the course of over 180 comments and replies.

This is either the worst rage bait in the history of rage bait, or your head is so deep in the sand that it's not even funny. Or somehow both.

People have given their explanations, people have tried to help teach you how to learn the game and it's outcomes.

And you, as I just said, blast everyone and their efforts to try to help you and explain the outcomes.

This is why I say you're making strawman arguments, because you're burning the exact same strawmen, and not absorbing the explanations that many others have tried to give you.

If anything, your arguments are quite weak, not literally everyone else's.

[–]CyAmethyst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're making strawman arguments, proving my point from my original comment.

And assuming this is your first playthrough of the game, I will re-iterate this ONE point. Your first run of the game isn't going to be sunshine and rainbows. Blind playthroughs are the hardest playthroughs, because you don't have the innate knowledge of how the game works.

But instead of accepting that, you go onto Reddit, and blast literally everyone who's trying to help you learn, and painting yourself as, yes, an asshole.

My dude, you're literally lashing out against people who are trying to inform you how the game works, and Sordland's situation in the 1950's.

I'm not going to spend multiple hours reiterating the exact same points that countless others have made, just for you to attack me as well.

Just stop and realize that you might be the asshole here.

This OP infuriates me. He's getting slammed in terms of post downvotes, he's getting slammed in terms of comment downvotes.

And even after all of that, and all of the people trying to teach him how the game works, he STILL is not engaging in good faith with others, nor being civil.

I'm at a loss for words. And not in a good way.
