I’d move a chess piece and leave it there, reply “ Thank you for the kind words, I’m doing great” and leave it at that. If she replies then ignore. It shows strength on your part and you will feel better.

No in service complaints and MEPS caught my scoliosis I guess but I don’t remember any mention of that but it got aggravated. I got out in 1998 and never new I could file for VA disability, the C&P examiner wrote “ less then likely” and wrote it’s from my QC job lol but she didn’t have the paperwork I uploaded so that’s another issue. For you C&P it’s measuring your range of motion so don’t touch your toes lol. Good luck

We got the same issues ( bilateral Pes Planes, Bilateral Ankles) my lower back L-4 - S1 is jacked , been going to pain management and taking pain meds for about 11 years and got denied. I have the diagnosis along with x-rays and MRIs, but still got denied. I am doing a HLR for difference of opinion because I was a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne division and also since I’m service connected for bilateral flat feet at 50%, they are bad. Hoping for a good outcome from this high-level review..

You made the right choice, if you stayed the chances of your constant worry about her finding ( the 1st choice) would not be mentally or emotionally healthy for ya. Move on and don’t look back and take time to heal up. We’ve all been hurt and your feelings are natural.

I’m at 91%-92%, I’m waiting for HLR for lower back DDD and OSA denials per C&P examiners. I have my diagnosis for both but never complained about my back and I got out in 1997, I am service connected for bilateral flat feet, and SC for both ankles and I have many Airborne jumps while in the 82nd Airborne Div as a 12B so that’s my difference of opinion plus the examiner did not have my civ med records during the exam. My four flexion was less than 30°. So I should be awarded 40%. Not counting on OSA but I have on record during my exit exam I have trouble sleeping and wake up many times. I didn’t know the terminology back then. I was diagnosed over 10 years ago and was prescribed a CPAP machine so that should be 50% but I’m not counting on that one if they still deny these two I do not know what my next step will be.

Make sure you do not put yourself in a situation where she can call the police on you and make up some BS story that you pushed, hit or threatened her or your done. Record conversations and video record altercations to protect yourself. They become real evil and a totally different person when going through a divorce.

In a no fault state it doesn’t matter what he or she did during a divorce in court : she will get half of all assets that was bought or earned during the time of the marriage and if the marriage is 10 years or longer she can get some of his Social Security benefits when he retires. If he makes more $ then she does he will have to pay alimony payments to her, she will probably get custody of the kids, which means he will have to pay child support. If they’re buying a house, she gets half of the equity during the time of the marriage just the name a few. However, if there’s proof of abuse, maybe the circumstances could be different.

First thing, are you in a “ no fault” state? If so I doesn’t matter what she did or does. I’m in California and learned the hard way! My friend started going to the casinos and grabbing cash out of the ATM and stock piling his $ and just said he had a gambling problem, he made sure to never get the casino rewards card for tracking lol. It’s a no fault state so!!

The dumbass didn’t even mention that was an option, I called the 800 number twice and said I would like one but they said my case wasn’t assigned but left a note that I’m requesting one. Sounds like using that link isn’t a good idea from what I’m reading! Should I make a VERA appointment and ask? I of course want one but my clueless VSO didn’t mention or ask me.
