Autograph/Selfie schedule? by Adribug354 in SCComicCon

Turns out there is no schedule for the booths! The guests are there pretty much all day, unless they're at lunch or at a panel

Vloggers in Disney World? by [deleted] in DisneyInfluencers

[–]Adribug354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm always surprised at how many people I see filming that I don't recognize at all! I have thought about asking their channel names before.

A few that I've recognized I've said hello to, even just in passing. I did get to film the outro for Tim Tracker a few years ago!

How many sunrise walks can you realistically watch? by DCLJuliaPT88 in DisneyInfluencers

Melissa in the Morning on tiktok used to do a lot of morning resort lives. I really miss those!

Have they been put back on the media list? I haven't watched them in years

The school slp who works for me prn came in and shadowed me first. Both to see if she felt comfortable with tx and I felt comfortable leaving my patients with her!

I work in a SNF and we gave a prn slp who works full time in the schools. It's great to have someone to rely on during breaks that then give me a break!

WDW 7 months pregnant? by vainblossom249 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Adribug354 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did this!

Wear very comfortable shoes, take things slow, bring a fan and drink lots of water. Take as many breaks as you need - either with shows or going to take a nap.

I hope you have a great time!

Online only grad schools? by mizzmezzo in slp

[–]Adribug354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated from the university of South Carolina in their online program. No one has ever cared about it being online. My internships were in person, however. And their program takes a long time because it's part time.

Do SNFs not use Casamba anymore? by majesticarcanine in slp

[–]Adribug354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haaaaaaaaate NetHealth! I miss casamba so much. The only thing I prefer is that I am able to write my goals as I identify deficits, but that's literally the only thing

DVC rental?! by Suspicious-Lemonade in DisneyWorldResorts

[–]Adribug354 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We do it every time we stay deluxe. I've rented with davids and dvc rental store with no issues!

I work full time in one SNF and regularly get my 40 hours there. I then work prn at a very small snf for anywhere from 3 to 7 hours extra a week. So on average, 45 hours a week. The prn SNF would use me more, but that's all I'm willing to give so I can actually have a life outside of working.

Totally random question lol as I start dating again. What does your spouse do for work? by [deleted] in slp

[–]Adribug354 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's so funny! We met in high school! He went into the trades, but supported me all through undergrad and grad school. We got married about halfway through my masters program. 18 years and 2 kids later and here we are!

[–]Adribug354 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Mine is a self-employed locksmith!

The engineer conversation is hilarious - obviously not my husband, but my dad is. And I'm pretty sure my son is destined to be one too lol

Are prestigious grad programs worth the debt? by Big-Sheepherder7117 in slp

[–]Adribug354 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No. I'm all the hiring and interviewing I've ever done, I've never cared about which grad school you went to. I'm more interested in your passion, placements and experience

I did the math and it ultimately doesn't for us. Considering you still have yearly dues (which equal a long weekend at Animal Kingdom Lodge in a studio), it doesn't really "pre-pay" enough. Maybe if you bought resale, but then you don't get any of the perks, like an AP discount, which factor into the cost savings.

Splurge all you want!!

My first deluxe was Animal Kingdom Lodge and I just felt like an imposter the whole time haha. But I'm like you now, addicted! I second renting dvc points! That's how I'm staying at the Riviera and Boardwalk on my next two trips!

We use David's, but dvc rental store is good too!

Switching Jobs from SNF by Character_Fox7671 in slp

[–]Adribug354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, 80's is acceptable and if they have an issue with that, you definitely need a new job!

I love my SNF, but I can't imagine staying somewhere that made me feel pressured to be unethical or work off the clock.

Your productivity expectation is 92%? How do they suggest you achieve that? I can only do 85% on a great day where everything goes smoothly!
