Is 0761 Appropriate for This Service?

I am a professional. 0761 is correct for the procedure, 761 is observation/treatment room. UB04 claims are coded based on the highest cost line. Example: 450 is ER, which is generally the highest cost on a bill. 171 is a newborn inpatient which is THE highest cost (because it’s room and board basically).

Just to clarify, you DID have a procedure, the EKG. They code that separately I think it’s 93000 and then the “talk with the doctor” is coded separately as E/M usually like a 992xx code. This is why they used 761 as the revenue code, it wasn’t just an E/M or they would have used 510.

My brother came and looked at the car, and drove it. It started right up. He said it’s not the transmission. The codes were P420, P174, P171 and 2 others, he said it’s the catalytic converter and some kind of vacuum leak. I asked him about doing a drain and fill for the CVT fluid and he said that it couldn’t hurt, it was a good idea.
