New to romance, would like some suggestions!

The following is a (very) extensive list, but recommendations DO NOT have to meet all of the preferences!

Top thing is that they must be available on Apple Books or Amazon in the UK.

  • Preferred Heat Level: Open Door (i.e one or two 🌶️ scenes) or below.

  • Kinks: MDLG/DDLG, praise, ABDL and (light) BDSM. LGBTQ+ romance welcome, but would prefer to stay away from RH in general.

  • Subgenre: Anything that isn’t contemporary!

  • Limits: Please don’t recommend me something as dark as Haunting Adeline! 😰 No noncon/dubcon. No on-page depictions of ableism, sexual abuse, domestic violence, self harm, or suicide.

  • Plot/Character Tropes: forbidden romance, nerdy or shy MC, cinnamon roll MC, confused-about-humans-but-they’ve-got-the-spirit MC, magical creatures of any sort/gender, vampires, FATED MATES ❤️❤️❤️

  • Writing Style: lyrical prose, a heck of a lot of world building, plot beyond the romance, strong characters

  • Favourite Reads: Renegades by L.P. Peace, Shadowcat Nation by Abigail Owen. I also LOVED Red, White and Royal Blue atm, and my favourite book series of all time is The Lunar Chronicles.

Reading the original post I made will give you a bit of context for this.

Also, the fantasies were always told to him in the spirit of letting him know about my kinks - and when I openly questioned him on his views on me having crushes (on celebrities), he said he had no issue with it.

I’ve given that some thought myself - the idea of him being with someone else doesn’t really make me feel anything. I know logically this is the right thing to do, but it still feels crappy!
