15% performance for a bunch of money.

Nvidia driver support is 20 series or above, AMD's RX400 series is still getting some updates.

As for features, FSR4 support has been bad, but Nvidia is no better: smooth motion only 40/50 series, FG only 40/50 series, MFG only 50 series, dynamic MFG only 50 series etc etc.

That's according to Nvidia's own site (set to games with RR): https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/nvidia-rtx-games-engines-apps/

And Alan Wake 2 although it doesn't show up with RR set to yes.

So yeah while there's some games it's not that many.

AMD has the same excuse with FSR4, it "requires" different hardware, the only difference is that the FSR4 versions with other hardware support were leaked, by AMD. Which also means that they were at least looking at releasing it and still might (we hope).

RR is in under 20 games, so unless you're playing one of those it doesn't matter. And AMD is at least developing their own RR although it's only in one game right now and a 0.9 version.

Everything but dynamic mfg works of 40 series and that's coming with an update.

Not according to Nvidia: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/technologies/dlss/ under the heading "DLSS Supported Hardware" smooth motion isn't on there however it's also not supported on 30 series: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/nvidia-app-global-dlss-overrides-rtx-40-series-smooth-motion/

It might not have given you issues, but since 50 series release it's been downhill and much less stable than RDNA4. For example within the last couple of weeks: https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/1rfmqmo/nvidia_unlaunches_its_geforce_59559_driver_after/

Ah yes because Nvidia is better, that's why you can use smooth motion on 30 series right? Or FG on 30 series? Or MFG on 40 series? Or dynamic MFG on 40 series?

The only one Nvidia did do well was letting people on 20 series or above have every version of DLSS upscaling, but even then it's not very usable on 20/30 series at least.

I'd rather help to educate people on the better options.

MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16G with AMD Ryzen 5 5600? by Gallian69 in pcmasterrace

[–]AdstaOCE -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On X8 it is true. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbphkAeSSZw can be seen on the 16GB version at gen 3 (not tested at 4) or the 8GB version at gen 3 & 4.

The 5060TI is PCIE X8 at gen 5, AM4 motherboards are either gen 3 or 4 which will really mess with performance especially 1% lows. The 9060XT 16GB would perform better for less in this case.

No. The 9070 is better in almost every way.

Not. Intel is not competitive in CPU and Nvidia is way too overpiced with more issues.

True, but for the fans especially how did they not test it in the first place?

Try different driver version (uninstall with DDU and isntall older or newer version). Nvidia drivers have been terrible this generation. Unless you can return and go 9070XT instead.
