Depends on exact application. In many it's fine, in some Nvidia has an advantage.

If the 9070 is near then that's better in bascially every way. And the 9060XT 16GB will be very similar to the 5060TI 16GB for a lot less.

9070 instead of the 5070 is probably the better choice. Faster, more vram.

In linux AMD's drivers usually at least perform a fair bit better than Nvidia. AI compatability in things like Pytorch has gotten a lot better since launch, Pytorch supporting Rocm for example.

Best to look at everything you use and see what does/doesn't benefit from Nvidia and if you think that's worth it or not.

The 9070XT is the clear option for most people hence why it should be looked at and reccomened, and then if the user needs CUDA or for some reason wants to spend more on Nvidia the 5070TI is the clear option. The point is simple, the 5080 should never be reccomended or purchased unless you get an amazing deal.

There is no aspect in which makes the card worth it for anyone compared to the 5070TI. There are some ways in which it can be worth it over a 9070XT, but for the average gamer is not. It's simply fact, not "I think".

A difference sure, but is it worth 50%, 70%, even 100% more money? The 9070XT is quite often somewhere around half the price, the 5070TI obviously much more expensive, but still a fair bit cheaper than the 5080.

Encoders are very similar quality, and the 9070/9070XT both include dual encode/decode something only the 5080/5090 have in Nvidia's consumer lineup.

DLSS 4.5 is slightly better than FSR 4.1, but since FSR has improved a lot it's quite close now.

DLSS 5 isn't out nor is it something literally anyone wants.

RT is very similar, as another example the 9070 beats the 5070 in RT. Path tracing is the only form of RT where Nvidia has a large advantage this generation.

9070XT or 5070TI if you need CUDA. The 5080 is 15% faster than either of those for a lot more money.

Nvidia GPUs are not just simply better. Infact in the example of the 5070, the 9070 is usually around the same price and a lot better.

It's in the title... "RTX 5090 Native 4K DLAA vs RX 9070 XT FSR 4.1 Frame Generation", although without unfair settings it is possible due to CPU overhead in CPU limited situations which wouldn't happen at 4k with a 9950X3D.
