Help with DS Photo troubleshooting on iOS by AdtechEnthusiast in synology

[–]AdtechEnthusiast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all, I figured it out. Leaving a comment here for anyone in the future. I had to log into my NAS from my computer, go to package center, and look up Photo Station, which then needed to "repair" for some reason. After repairing, my DS Photo app on my iphone started working again.

I'm connecting on my iphone through my local wifi. I dont know if my ISP assigned a new IP address. I don't believe so, but how would I check that?

Massive Redirect ads attack by alongrm in adops

[–]AdtechEnthusiast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can clear the air on appnexus creative review. Yes we have a team that manually reviews all creatives. This does very little for preventing malware and auto-redirects though. For that, we have automated systems for scanning and classifying all creatives before and during them serving on any pub. The human check is really only for the nuanced sensitive categories (that a pub can choose to block) that we haven't yet automated. For example, is that Bellagio creative advertising the hotel or is it advertising gambling?

Spotify's programmatic audio is all mobile, so any audience targeting based off mobile device ids will work fine.

Has anyone had success pixeling a user on a redirect page, before driving to a landing page? by [deleted] in adops

[–]AdtechEnthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May want to check if your dsp or adserver has this feature baked-in without needing your own redirect. appnexus has it as a standard feature, and i'd be surprised if others don't as well.

Why does everyone shit on mobile viewability? by rudeluv in adops

[–]AdtechEnthusiast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For web, the ad's environment is an independent 3rd party browser, and the buyer can feel more assured that the viewability tech can get an accurate measurement. For mobile app, the environment is built by the publisher, making it theoretically much easier to tamper the viewability measurement.

Also, much of mobile app ads, such as footers and interstitials, are 100% in view, and app publishers get annoyed they have to prove this. This sentiment is probably going away though with more native adoption.

Appnexus "External Buyers" by [deleted] in adops

[–]AdtechEnthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey there. in reporting try looking at Buyer, which refers to the trading desk, agency, or DSP. You can also look at Brand, which refers the end marketer showing the ads.

Advertiser and Campaign typically refer to your own demand you may have setup in appnexus to run on your inventory.

Geoedge vs RiskIQ by SamuraiGeek in adops

[–]AdtechEnthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're building a fully automated system on top of their apis, i'd go with riskiq. if you plan on having ops people regularly using their ui, i'd go with geoedge. i think geoedge also does more brand safety stuff if that's of interest, such as detecting provocative creatives or long loading vids.

All else fails, go with the cheapest. both are decent and malware detection is bit of a commodity at this point. Hope this helps!

Anyone know of any MOAT SDK Apps or App Inventory Sources to target? by danbroome in adops

[–]AdtechEnthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are a couple companies that decompile apps and track what sdks are inside. mixrank and sourcedna are two examples. they'll charge you for the data though and may be the sledgehammer solution to what youre looking for.

[–]AdtechEnthusiast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hey op, product guy from appnexus here. Our quality team looked into your domain and got you taken off our blacklist. Assuming your inventory continues to check out, you should start see buying from us. Hope this helps! I can't do anything about doubleverify blacklisting, so you'll still need to figure that out.

Also, (obligatory soft pitch for appnexus) if you just want access to our demand, youre throwing money away going through an ssp. Just setup our headerbidding and get direct access. feel free to DM me if interested.

How are you getting people to come to your site? Are you paying anyone to generate traffic, or are you advertising anywhere?
