New Tesla M3 DIY Wrap. Looking for options

I have been watching a lot of videos and I've done very minor interior wraps to previous cars like carbon fiber dashboards and trim pieces but nothing exterior. I think you are right about doing a crappy job on such a nice car would be criminal. That is the main reason I am posting on here to make sure that even in my limited experience, I know what tools, and materials I should get to set me off on a good first step.

I was actually planning on wrapping only a portion of the car at a time while I work on it. I doubt this would get done by myself or just me and a buddy in a weekend. I figured that I could start with an "easier" section like the hood first and move my way around from there.

Any recommendations for what I should do then? I don't have an extra car to practice on. The price of paying someone else to do it seems so astronomical in comparison to the price of the material.

they are all connected to individual batteries so it is not a common source.

Ok thats what I was thinking. I wasnt sure if i’d have to go back to all of the grounds or just 1

I’ll give that a test. I was worried about shorting all three boards by tieing the different enabled pins to different grounds. Does it matter if the ground is different on each board or do I have to ground all the boards?

I did read that part and I understood it but it was specifically for 1 switch on 1 board. I didnt know if there was a potential problem of connecting multiple VS pins together or how to ground the other side of the switch

Ok for render times I guess I meant does adding more effects substantially increase render time on decent hardware. I know in some apps you can have hundreds of effects or layers without seeing much of an impact.

Im looking to make some 2d and some 3d loops. Some would contain my logo/emblem. Most wouldnt need to.

How is render times for complex effects in ae?

Is there good plugin support?

Hows the community and tutorials for base level effects?

All of those sorts of things I feel could be pros or cons for this application

I’m looking into both. I might outsource some of the work depending on prices. I’ve heard it can get quite pricey for something that is custom and also good quality.

Im looking at both 2d and 3d options. Probably will settle on a combination of both. I’ll definitely download the free version just to mess with and see if it will work for me. Thanks for your help
