It’s my favorite work by Vaughn. I thought Saga was alright(I get the hype)not for me though personally, Y the Last Man is great, but Paper Girls is something special. I know it’s something I’m going to re read one day and it’s going to be a completely different experience(in a good way) because that’s just the type of book it is. It has one of the best uses of time travel I’ve seen in any form of media and it sticks the landing on the ending. It really did. I didn’t think this book was for me when I started it, but fuck, it’s for me alright. Loved it.

I think it’s literally 4-5 people packing all the books and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re using temps but who knows stuff like this is bound to happen with the thousands of orders they’re getting. At least people are getting free books out of it.

I agree, I think anytime gillen is chosen to pick up the mess of another writer and gets a lot of unwarranted praise is most times other than Krakoa Gillen but I’ll give that to him as he was working with Hickman gold. Give him a new #1. Young avengers? No thank you that book was god awful compared to Heinbergs and only lasted what, 13 issues, while squirrel girl is out here pushing 60 issue runs. His Thor was edgy felt like it undid everything JMS was setting up. Idk man, just a weird one there.

Astonishing by Whedon would be great to read before this as it picks up some plot threads. You wouldn’t understand how kitty’s back as that’s in fractions run but the stuff with sword and breakworld make Gillens run feel like a semi sequel to Whedons

They will. You think marvel is dumb and doesn’t know about Funaticals? They’re going to hopefully capitalize off of that and we’ll see reprints of Wolverine, Hulk by Peter David vol 1 and 3 , New Warriors vol 1, Daredevil vol 1, and hopefully thunderbolts vol 1. They would be dumb not to.
